Studies have shown that Indigenous Australians and Torres straight islanders are the largest demographic in Australia who are being effected by smoking; with 1 in 5 dieing from smoking related diseases. (Australian Department of Health and Aging, 2011) They also hold the highest percentage of any demographic of smokers in Australia, with around 47.7%, of Indigenous Australians and Torres straight Islanders addicted to smoking (ABS, 2013). This is why for this assignment; I have chosen the ‘Break the Chain’ Campaign, a campaign which is a subsidiary of the larger ‘Preventive Health Tobacco Social Marketing Campaign’ of 2012. This campaign is specifically aimed towards Aboriginal and Torres straight Islanders; it communicates to the target audience the benefits of quitting, the range of risks, highlights both positive and negative motivations of quitting smoking, and attempts to change the attitudes and behaviours through the sharing of personal experiences. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OH14tN9x3y4 The ‘Break the Chain’ ad shows an Aboriginal/Torres straight islander woman sharing her own experiences with smoking, and talks about the amount of damage it has caused for her and her family. It allows the audience identify, and empathise with these particular situations. The ad uses several emotional anchors, such as the death of the protagonist’s mother and father, and the illness that her other relatives and people around her have face as a result of smoking. In the end she tells the audience that she has quit for not only the sake of her health but for the people around her, including her children; underlying idea of this ad ultimately presents a choice, choosing between an addiction, or the livelihood of health, and to a larger extent, family.
The campaign is effective for several reasons; the protagonist recounts of real life stories, of how smoking has

...Week 1.1 (Monday) ENGLISH ORIGINAL TEXT УКРАЇНСЬКИЙ ПЕРЕКЛАД DAVID J. MALAN: So this is CS50. And this was CS50's own Colton Ogden, for more of who's music you can download at soundcloud.com/cs50. So today we focus all the more on the art of programming. And we take where we left off last week, focusing on Scratch, which was this graphical programming language. And take things down to a lower level, using a more traditional programming language known as C. But along the way, realizing that the same ideas we talked about last Friday will recur not only in this language C, but in most every other that we look at this semester. So we called this thing here what last time? This is representative of a statement. So we called this a statement. And it does something. It's an instruction that a computer or Scratch might execute. And henceforth, let's also start calling something like this a function, for reasons we shall soon see. Meanwhile, we saw things like this. And these are generally known as what construct? AUDIENCE: Loop. DAVID J. MALAN: So a loop. So pretty straightforward. It literally does what it says. And in Scratch, if you want to cram more puzzle pieces in there, the piece will grow to fit it. And we'll see in C that we can do the same thing. Another type of loop, though, in Scratch might be forever, or there's any number of other approaches. But let's take a more generalist look, with a face that's likely quite familiar, at loops more generally. MARK ZUCKERBERG:...

...enefit from a plurality of producers operating in a very competitive market. The OECD Competition Committee debated oligopolies in 1999. - Extracts. A formal definition of oligopoly is: “...a market structure with a small number of sellers - small enough to require each seller to take into account its rivals’current actions and likely future responses to its actions.” - Recognised interdependence is the hallmark of oligopoly. Kantzenbach and Kruse (1987, 10) offer a more technical definition asserting that an oligopoly exists, "... if the variation of a behavioural parameter by one of a group of competing firms leads to a perceptible change in selling conditions for the other competing firms…, thus causing them...to respond by changing their own market behaviour." If a dominant oligopoly already exists, the merger between two of its members or between an oligopolist and an outsider will lead to the oligopoly becoming even tighter. The tighter the oligopoly is, the more transparent competitive conduct will become and the easier it will be for conscious parallelism to occur. Oligopolies are markets where profit maximising competitors set their strategies by paying close attention to how their rivals are likely to react. In these conditions, firms might differentiate their products, which can benefit some consumers, but at a price. Oligopoly inter-dependence can also foster anti-competitive co-ordination. Competition laws prohibit collusion that raises prices, restricts...

They all talk and talk about their state-of-the-art facilities; a bunch of show-offs flashing their fake smiles. An honour to be their guidance? Not. We all know that most schools especially the ones that are owned by companies, including this one *coughs*, only want our money. They don’t care about how difficult exams are. They don’t care about how some professors are evil to the core. It’s just plain business. Believe me. After all, this is not my first school. “Again, thank you and welcome to International School of Arts. Feel free to visit our different school organizations to their booths.” she claps her hands and then points us to a huge door. I didn’t hear telling her name because I was too busy playing flappy bird at my phone, stupid bird. Sometimes I question myself if this flappy bird is a cartoon bird or a fly. Seriously, it looks like a fly with lips like Angelina Jolie’s. By looking at her short silver wavy hair and I assume she’s at her sixties, I bet she’s the president of this school. You have to get up pretty early to call the States, if you want your privacy and you want to catch anybody awake at home; at home it’ll be sometime the night before. The desert is cool in the mornings too, or cooler, so that you’ll see the occasional soldier getting his PT in before it gets too hot, but he’s usually far enough away that you don’t have to whisper. Unfortunately her Great Aunt always makes Katie embarrassed by being just too “witchy”. She can’t resist flying on her broomstick and doing other tricks that draw attention to the fact that the family are witches. This song features incidental music by Gabriella and Jay. And Natasha has made a Pumpkin Dance to go with the music and song (There are instructions in the story and you can read them in more detail on the song’s page). Read by Natasha. Story by Bertie. Duration 20 minutes. Katie’s Halloween Aunt Hello, This is Natasha, and I’m dropping by with Halloween Story about our own Katie the Witch. I was just wondering, do you have any relatives that make you feel, well, just a bit embarrassed? You know, perhaps they dress in bad taste, or dance terribly at parties, or make awful jokes. Katie had a relative a bit like that. Her name was Great Aunt Chloe, and you can meet her in this story. The trees were turning golden brown, the squirrels were busy burying conkers in the park, and the witches were getting ready for Halloween. For Katie’s mum, this was the busiest time of the year in her shop called the Magic Lantern. If you wanted to be a classy witch or a snazzy goblin, The Magic Lantern was the place to come and browse for a costume. Katie helped her mum cut out pumpkins...

...high-bouncing lover, I must have you!’ —THOMAS PARKE D’INVILLIERS The Great Gatsby Chapter 1 I n my younger and more vulnerable years my father gave me some advice that I’ve been turning over in my mind ever since. ‘Whenever you feel like criticizing any one,’ he told me, ‘just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had.’ He didn’t say any more but we’ve always been unusually communicative in a reserved way, and I understood that he meant a great deal more than that. In consequence I’m inclined to reserve all judgments, a habit that has opened up many curious natures to me and also made me the victim of not a few veteran bores. The abnormal mind is quick to detect and attach itself to this quality when it appears in a normal person, and so it came about that in college I was unjustly accused of being a politician, because I was privy to the secret griefs of wild, unknown men. Most of the confidences were unsought—frequently I have feigned sleep, preoccupation, or a hostile levity when I realized by some unmistakable sign that an intimate revelation was quivering on the horizon—for the intimate revelations of young men or at least the terms in which they express them are usually plagiaristic and marred by obvious suppressions. Reserving judgments is a matter of infinite hope. I am still a little afraid of missing something if I forget that, as my faFree eBooks at Planet eBook.com ther snobbishly suggested, and I snobbishly repeat a sense...
