After each semester, I find it important to take time and think about all that I have learned, both in the classroom and through experience. The art of reflecting on a specific class or assignment allows one to examine the impact that a thought or approach may play on them throughout their future endeavors. HLTH 2501, Teamwork and Collaboration, has given me more opportunities and skills that will benefit my future than any other course I have taken. This tremendous impact can be credited to our service learning project because it was a chance to utilize what we have learned in a real-life situation. Most of my classes up until this point have been strictly lectures, without the chance to put what I have learned into action. In addition to the problem-solving approaches, I have acquired different values and competencies associated with healthcare providers. Although some situations may oppose my personal beliefs, patient health outcomes are the main priority and should be the primary focus when evaluating different alternatives.
