How Did Walt Disney Impact The World

From the inside doors of a design studio to the entire world, Walt Disney not only had an impact on the design field but on the world as a whole. His life goal was to make children and families smile and laugh even through hard times such as World War II. Unfortunately, after his death on December 15th, 1966, the company became more involved with making profits instead of creating “original” laughter. When Walt Disney created his projects, he liked to give a sense of nostalgia and promises toward the future. This is what drives many animators out there to base their work off of his methods. There are many people out there who see the irony in what inspired him, considering that Walt Disney didn’t have a positive childhood yet so he wanted to enlighten and make sure others did. …show more content…
However, it wasn’t always positive feedback from people out there, as there were rumors once that Walt Disney was anti-Semitic and that he was supposedly a hard boss to his employees. These rumors however are false for the most part, and not believed by the majority. He was however, known as a perfectionist and wanted things done right. At the end of his life this was particularly true as he was a planner and envisioned a “perfect city” known as Epcot. He was hoping that this would become a fully operational city of 100,000 people that would have the latest in everything out there. Despite his success, Walt wasn’t known to socialize and spent nearly all of his time with his family. Contrary to legend, he wasn’t ever frozen when he died. For a period of time there were rumors speculating that Walt’s body was to be frozen for possible reincarnation; this was just a big myth however. He was actually cremated and his ashes were scattered at Forrest Lawn Cemetery in California.
