Today’ generation is faced with the increasing problem of social media and electronics. What society used to consider a luxury, is now the cause of childhood obesity, poor communication, and a far less educated society. Television, the internet, and cell phones have taken over the lives of many children and teenagers. This causes us to plaster our eyes to a television screen, waiting for a new episode of ‘”Keeping up with the Kardashians” to come on, all while staring blankly at our cell phone while typing “LOL.” Lets face it social media and electronics have corrupted us. Twitter allows teenagers to hide in their rooms all day while updating their statuses every 2 seconds, and video games and television allow teenagers and children to be glued to couch cushions all day. …show more content…
If society can wipe away anything with plugs, wires, and batteries, people will be forced to become more educated and responsive. I know this is a very scary thought, but think about it, people will actually have to look at others while holding a conversation. I think we can make this goal possible with the help of legislation. We could create new laws that make owning any sort of technology illegal, and if you’re caught breaking the law the first time, you will receive a ticket with a fine of $10,000, but the second time you will be sentenced to life in prison. We could melt batteries and make them into sports equiptment so maybe we could end obesity at the same time.
