Human Service Needs Assessment
For this work, we will take a look at children in need. Of all the groups that are in need of Human Services, we are partial to the children. The children play such a dynamic part in our society. It is the children who will be the politicians, teachers, taxpayers and parents on tomorrow. We must ensure that they live in safe homes and have their needs met. We must teach them new skills, how to care for themselves, and how to conquer the setbacks that are sure to come. We have to provide them with emotional support and nurture them towards their goals and dreams. When a child is in trouble, he/she is facing many different problems at the same time.
Conditions and Problems Facing this Group
“Children in need, “are a high-risk group for developing all sorts of physical and emotional problems.” (Burger, 2011) They do not have the skills to deal with the negative effects of neglect and abuse. The extreme cases are in danger of contracting psychosis or even Retardation. Some of the signs of problems include late bed wetting and extreme shyness. Many of them live in homes where there is no male role model. Single parent homes tend to be less financially stable and the Mothers, while having to work a full-time job, also have the responsibility of rearing the children.
These children in need commit suicide, crime, and violence, abuse drugs and suffer mental illness far above the average levels. (Burger, 2011) They develop a feeling of isolation, thinking they are different from everyone else.
How Human Service Helps All of these issues are administered to in Human Services. Some of them are addressed in the school setting using group therapy to let these children know that they are not alone, and other people have these same issues. In the most difficult cases, professional help is sought. Community-based agencies are in place to deliver therapy administered by Psychologists and psychiatrists. There are daycare programs that help young children overcome emotional and intellectual factors. Mentoring organizations such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters help fill the void left by departed parents. Community centers help children of various ages to avail themselves of social and recreational Programs. Parenting programs, the police, crises intervention centers, and programs that assist teenage mothers are all working parts of the fine-tuned Human Services machine.
The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) is a subsidiary of the Department of Health and Human Services that partners with community-based organizations. They provide funding, training, and technical assistance in an effort to promote the economic and social well-being of families, children, individuals and communities. State welfare agencies also assist with programs like WIC.
In What Capacity Do These Agencies Help
Parent Assistance programs deal with those parents who are so burdened with the financial aspect of parenting that they never learned how to deal with the practical problems of child rearing or home care. Psychologists and Psychiatrists normally get involved once the parent, teacher or school counselor notices that the child isn't functioning as well as he could be. They can help children with their anxiety, depression, conflicts and emotional trauma such as the divorce of their parents. Some of the agencies mentioned help children to learn how to eat healthily and exercise as a way to combat obesity. Others focus on school dropout prevention.

Conclusion
In this advanced stage of the Human Services industry, there is help for every conceivable problem that children will encounter. We believe that the children and senior citizens are the most special of the underserved populations and our resources sometimes seem lacking We continue, however, to seek and search for ways to improve our interventions and our skills. We believe that the world is depending on us. One child or one senior citizen in trouble and living out a substandard and vulnerable existence is too many for us. We are working tirelessly to make sure that they have safe home environments so that they can flourish and have the same opportunities as other citizens.

Refer to Appendix C for tips on where to find this information and Appendix G for other suggested Web sites. What or who may have influenced the agency’s decision to meet the needs of this demographic group? The two human service agencies in my city I picked would be Irving Cares and The Salvation Army. Irving C.A.R.E.S. The decisions to meet the needs were based on families that were out of jobs, had no money or food to eat. The program provides help to Families come when they have had an unexpected expense. Marketing Shapes Consumer Needs and Wants

...“Marketing merely reflects the needs and wants of consumer” Abraham Maslow proposed a hierarchy of needs back in 1950s and 60s. Human needs are arranged in a hierarchy from most to least pressing – physiological needs (primary or fundamental needs), safety needs, social needs, esteem needs, and self – actualization needs. When a person succeeds in satisfying an important need, he will then try to satisfy the next most important need. God create human with different types. In this world, there are continent, ocean, country, and city. They are different, so are we. I think we have same physiological needs because we cannot live without them. As customers, we always want quality products, which satisfy our needs and wants. Customers are looking for products and services with best combination of price, quality, and availability. As a human, we are different. There are segmentation by age, gender, nationality, lifestyle, income, and many others segmentation. If, you are female, your needs and wants are different with male. I am Indonesian, my needs and wants are different with American. I eat rice; they eat burger, pizza, and other food. This is why marketers must create and develop attractive product. Some customers would not mind to paying a higher price for a product or service if we received something with best combination of price and quality. Person BSHS/305 University of Phoenix November 11, 2014 Problems with Human Services Clients and the Skills to Use to Help Them Human Services clients can face obstacles/problems of all kinds. The term client can describe a person, a family, or a group of people in a particular area or neighborhood. The Human Services “Helper” will need to develop many different skills in order to service each client within such diverse echelons. The Problem Chain Clients enter the human service delivery system as individuals with many different perspectives such as psychological, biological, cultural, financial, educational, vocational, and spiritual elements. These elements include life experiences such as family, friends, health, school, work, legal status, residence, safety and security, finances, play, well-being, and personal accomplishments. These perspectives are assimilated into the individual to create the whole person that the human service professional experiences. There are a few possible theories that are used to define the problems and difficulties that individuals face. The developmental theory approaches problems from the life span perspective that describes them as events or crisis that have happened within a lifetime. The situational perspective describes problems that have happened in one instance or timeframe. Meeting basic human needs, both physical and mental, is another method...

These issues can range from substance abuse, mental and physical illness, grief, disabilities, caring for children and families, domestic violence, and many other issues. All these issues are multi- faceted and can be very difficult to help with.( R. Woodside & T. McClam,2011) Assisting with client's problems requires gaining the trust of the client. Biblical Counseling vs. Secular Counseling

...XXXXXXX L33333333 Liberty University 24 April 2013 There is a need for effective biblical counseling now more than ever. As the world progresses to the stages prophesized anarchy God’s people as well as lost souls need the appropriate direction in life. Crabb clearly states in his introduction that the purpose his book, Effective Biblical Counseling, is to incorporate the principles and aspects of Christian counseling into the local churches (Crabb, 1977, p. 13). The tenets outlined in the text apply sound Biblical doctrine in conjunction with advanced psychological techniques. It was mentioned that many of the agencies are not making the profit that they made in the previous years. It was mentioned that there are issues with the processing of paperwork. IM’s first point of business is to establish a mission statement, vision, and goal for this company. Right now, it is stated that this business is market controlled. There needs to be a standard through the agencies under Safe Buy. The company needs to know what they stand for, where they are at, and where they are going. Providing a standard, with what is expected and a goal will provide a benchmark for performance assessments . IM will need to brand those other agencies as Safe Buy Insurance, so there is unity amongst the organizations. There needs to be some type of commonality to say “Hey we are Safe Buy Insurance”. From here IM can start using feedforward control. Although the definition of feedforward control states that it is...

...opening their homes to others e.g. Airbnb. This particular "new economy" is not going to go away again. On the contrary, it will achieve a much more dominant position in the years ahead. Why? Because it accommodates the fundamental human need to be part of a community, share with others, build relationships, make friends and, specifically, to entrust things to other people. Swapping and sharing was common practice long before we had paper money and modern-style companies. The shared use of resources was based on personal ties and/or geographic proximity However, new communication technologies are radically changing the playing field in a positive sense. The internet, smartphones and mobile positioning services are shrinking the entire planet to the size of a neighbourhood. Ubiquitous social media has breathed new life into a notion of community that had long seemed confined to private spaces and a distinctly modest scale. Now, online platforms and marketplaces are spawning new relationships that, in the past, would never have been conceivable without face to face contact.
