How are you doing? According to Daniel Engber, rejection of an organ takes place in a person because sometimes our immune system does not agree with the new organ. The rejection can take one of few forms. In hyperacute rejection, the body instantly begins to act off the unknown tissue, and symptoms show nearly immediately as soon as the operation. Acute rejection can happen upon a period of weeks or months, and chronic rejection takes control over a span of years. Doctors use immunosuppressant to remedy (and prevent) tissue rejection.
