...CUSTOMER IS THE KING 1.0 Introduction According to Ratan Tata, Chairman of Tata Group, we should be treating the customer in the same way that we would want to be treated as customers. As per his say, In today's world, what customers are looking for, I believe, are products that suit their purpose best in terms of price, features, quality and appearance. They expect to be treated as kings and to receive sales and service support for products like vehicles and air-conditioners. They expect to receive timely and competent attention, along with a definite solution to their problems from our service people, dealers or channel partners. Businesses establish reputations for themselves based upon how well they treat their customers over time. Getting off on the wrong track can seriously harm a business, while doing it right can produce amazing amounts of “goodwill”, admiration and long term success In Mauritius the actual motto is the “customer is the king”. In the country the company is still using this old adage. Nowadays a new management concept has emerged “employee first”. There is only a few company in Mauritius which is now implementing this new concept in there organisation. Soft and hard HRM There are many different approaches a business can take to HRM. ...church when they need help, which often times takes many forms. Sometimes I will serve coffee before church or watch children in the nursery. Other times I serve or prepare meals for college students to eat after third service. Occassionally, we will have cookie sign ups where you make a couple dozen cookies and then deliver them to new families in our church As I see the example of those older than me, I try to recreate that for those younger than me. Being involved with the kids younger than me in school and church is how I try to meet the responsiblility of building our future. I love going to Kid’s Connection with my basketball team and watch the kids’ faces light up when we walk in. They can’t believe that the people they watch play on the court are sitting right next to them singing songs. Little IBL camps and volleyball camps are also fun to help at. Not only do you get to help them with their skills but more importantly, you can talk with them, ask them how their day was, and build a relationship. I try to attend as many of these activities as I can because they are the future of our school and community. No matter what situation is thrown my way, I try to always lead fearlessly, serve with a smile, and display integrity for those around me. ...

The impact of EU on international trade The European Union has had a significant influence upon international trade, especially in respect of the countries that are member states in the Union. However, it has also had an impact on global trade generally. Internally, trading between the member states within the European Union has become less restrictive, because of the laws and regulations passed. Trade barriers between member states have been virtually eliminated and strict regulations have been applied to ensure fair competition for all. It is partially resulting from these moves that countries like those in the Baltic States are clamoring to join the EU. The EU also protects its member states from unfair competition tactics that other nations might use. The economic power of the Union is such that...

(ANZ) and Westpac Banking Corporation (Westpac). This report seeks to identify which of the FIs has a greater aggregate return per dollar of equity and thus establish the highest performer, or most profitable, of the two. The Return on Equity Model (ROE) (Koch & MacDonald, 2010, pg. 96) is a series of ratios constructed to evaluate the financial position of FIs and utilised, in this case, to compare the performance, or profitability, of ANZ to Westpac. By applying ROE, and its associated ratios, to the 2011 Financial Reports of ANZ and Westpac, this report aims to justify the conclusion that Westpac outperformed ANZ for the 2011 financial year. ROE is widely accepted as an accurate reflection of the overall performance of FIs. For the financial year 2011, ANZ had a ROE ratio of 14.87% compared with Westpac’s 16.82% (Appendix A). This ratio indicates that, before paying cash dividends, the aggregate return for shareholders of ANZ is 1.95% lower than its Westpac counterparts (Koch & MacDonald, 2010, pg. 98). While...

...Oluwadamilola O. Adeyemi Dr. Msthali CIS 500 November 16, 2012 In comparing and contrasting using mobile technology to the ageless standard of in patient visits and all the procedures handled within the office or hospital setting, vital signs have been measured frequently to access the condition of a patient. Since the days of Florence Nightingale who is the mother of nursing, the standard in health care has been that taking the patients vital signs has always been a hands on in person experience. This at many times has caused days of agony and drudgery as you would deal with the discomfort of having to sit for hours upon hours in an office field with coughing, sneezing, hacking, wheezing and nauseous individuals. Each visit leaves you feeling that at any time, you may leave this office visit in a worst condition than when you came in. The assessment and monitoring of patient vital signs has typically been looked upon as one of the most routine aspects of nursing care. Monitoring patient vital signs became so mundane that usually the responsibility of taking the vital signs, even though ordered by a physician would end up being handled by a lowly Patient Care Technician. While in the hospital, vital signs are monitored on a scheduled basis. This is only interrupted if there is a change in the patient’s condition, the worse the change, the greater the increase in scheduled vital sign monitoring. However, this can also be affected by nursing judgments which...
