1. Material things, which describe your social status.
Digital generation and democracy absolutely changed basic explanation about describing of your social status in many of countries, except of Ukraine and some countries, which in any way want to show their social status with help of expensive cars and clothes with bright names!
But in the counties with higher development all this things went out and changed into knowledge and things which really represent you status but not your money.
Let’s take typical businessman in our country, he can’t get along without big cars, lie Toyota Prado or Land cruiser, it’s quite funny, but its reality ! Second point not all elder rich people, but all their children wants to wear the most expensive and bright clothes from famous brands, traveling European countries I noticed, that native livers of this countries, not only don’t wear (in many cases) bright clothes if they have money for that, but also trying not to wear this if they are very wealthy.
As for me we should follow this example and try to build our image not only on glamour things, but also on their own knowledge, experience and be more honest and hard-working. Here is the real point of modern image!

2. Things which create modern image (or the bright pack of your life)
You a successful top manager in big company, you have a huge profit and your life fill with things, you always wanted, but you don’t have IMAGE!
As Wikipedia says (it’s also is one of points of modern image).
Image – is a false look, forming in social or individual mind with help of mass communication and psychological factors. Image create with help of propaganda and enterprising with aim of forming in mass mind certain attitude to the object.
What do you need for that, and what things should you have in order to have right image?
It’s high to say this, but in my opinion there are 2 types of image:
Social image
Just imagine young student without electronic devices from Apple (like element of image), and accounts in social networks, some people want to go out from these stereotypes but main society uses it every day of their life! Also image and elements of your life depends on your sub culture, all sub-cultures have different kinds and things which create your image.
Spiritual image
That’s your own deal, how to build your spiritual image, it absolutely depends on your ideals and way of life. I think, no one material thing couldn’t change this, except of you!

My research paper will focus specifically on the difference between modern and traditional styles of art, the dynamic between them, and how both styles contributed to how we view art today, as well as the vilification of modern art in the eyes of the art world. My interest in this topic mainly stems from my own personal interest in art, because it’s what i want to...

How Does Carol Ann Duffy Present Female Disempowerment in ‘Whoever She Was’, ‘Standing Female Nude’ and ‘Recognition’?

...In this modern, westerly-fixated era, issues regarding gender are seen, by vast proportions of the population, as antiquated. Carol Ann Duffy serves to tackle this notion by using poetry as a window into the deeply personal experience of the contemporary woman. Throughout her texts, strains emerge of futility, depression and disempowerment felt by much of the female demographic during day-to-day existence. Duffy looks into aspects of motherhood, what it means to be a ‘woman’ and ultimately the consequences that gender expectations have on the psychological health of women in order to paint a picture of female marginalisation in the world today. By first examining the titles of each of the three poems, we may gain a more comprehensive understanding of what Carol Ann Duffy is attempting to convey before examining the full textual body. ‘Whoever She Was’ captures the solemn echo of the narrators plight. The past tense acts to separate her current being from ‘Whoever’ she was when her children were young and she had motherly duties to tend to. The blasé use of ‘Whoever’ may at first convey to us that she does not show remorse to the changes she has undergone since her children left. When considered with the context of the poem and her fixation on the past, however, it becomes evident that ‘whoever’ and indeed the third person, ‘she’ is used to accent the gulf between her present state and that of her motherly role. ‘Recognition’, as a title, serves to place the unattainable...

Roland Barthes

...irrational whims, her instinctive fears, her unprovoked bravado, her daring and her delicious delicacy of feeling” Who is speaking in this way? Is it the story’s hero, concerned to ignore the castrato concealed beneath the woman? Is it the man Balzac, endowed by his personal experience with a philosophy of Woman? Is it the author Balzac, professing certain “literary” ideas of femininity? Is it universal wisdom? or romantic psychology? It will always be impossible to know, for the good reason that all writing is itself this special voice, consisting of several indiscernible voices, and that literature is precisely the invention of this voice, to which we cannot assign a specific origin: literature is that neuter, that composite, that oblique into which every subject escapes, the trap where all identity is lost, beginning with the very identity of the body that writes. — Probably this has always been the case: once an action is recounted, for intransitive ends, and no longer in order to act directly upon reality — that is, finally external to any function but the very exercise of the symbol — this disjunction occurs, the voice loses its origin, the author enters his own death, writing begins. Nevertheless, the feeling about this phenomenon has been variable; in primitive societies, narrative is never undertaken by a person, but by a mediator, shaman or speaker, whose “performance” may be admired (that is, his mastery of the narrative code), but not his “genius” The author is a modern figure...

Informative Essay: How Memorials To Remember The Holocaust

...“Once you crossed the gate to the Camp , There was no chance to get out of there alive”.- Chaim Hirszman.Memorials and monuments show, in part, the ways that communities and people have answered these questions. The gallery of images below exhibits a variety of memorials and monuments that have been constructed to remember the Holocaust. The introduction that follows explores the complex questions that memorials raise about how we choose to remember history. Memorials raise complex questions about which history we choose to remember. Some people distinguish between the two, saying that memorials are a response to loss and death and that monuments are more commemorative and celebratory . “Thou shalt not be a victim, thou shalt not be a perpetrator,...

...faces and a dainty walk. What we don’t consider is the lack of emotion, strict code of silence and secrecy. Geisha, just like prostitutes are trained to have a strict code of silence and protectiveness toward their clients. Elderly geisha could be considered Madams, who provided training to new recruits. Over the centuries, elderly geisha have also developed a deeply routed tradition of secrecy. Elderly women behind the mask have fulfilled a destiny rooted in Japanese history. Although associated with prostitution, many modern day women continue to seek this tradition. My research however, revealed contradictory information on whether or not geisha were actually prostitutes. The majority of my research material stated geisha actually started as men jesters and musicians who entertained in brothels. This continued until 1751 when the first document record of female geisha appeared. Most documented material on geisha treated them as images of lovely passive girls whose purpose was solely in male entertainment and pleasure or as prostitutes or courtesans. During the time period of 1751 it was not uncommon for actors to double as prostitutes. It was also not uncommon for Meiji government officials to select geisha for their wives. It is still said that geisha inhabit a separate reality which they call the karyūkai or "the flower and willow world." Before they disappeared, the courtesans were the colorful "flowers" and the geisha are the "willows” because of their...

Morality and Ethics in the 21st Century and Beyond

...forced to adapt to change. There will be questions on what changes will affect the morals and ethics accepted from its society. Morality will change as it has in the past due to the evolving technology. Take for example the new technological developments of Cloning. Cloning is one of the most extensively discussed topics in the modern world. It is a subject that universally evokes immense reactions from society. Cloning is the technique of producing a genetically identical duplicate of an organism by replacing the nucleus of an unfertilized ovum with the nucleus of a body cell from the organism (Yourdictionary.com). In 1903, plants were the first living organisms to be cloned, pioneering the concept. Progressive developments in research now usher in greater advancements in this technology, including the successful cloning of the sheep now known as “Dolly” in 1997 by Scottish scientist, Dr. Ian Wilmut. Logically, the next step is to clone human beings. Is human cloning essential for improvements in enhancing the quality of life? Since cloning still raises scientific as well as ethical, moral and religious issues, it is in conflict with the natural way of life; the negative impacts on society overshadow the possible benefits. First, the process of human cloning disrupts genetic variability, its consequences potentially making the human race more expendable. Generating human clones runs the risk of crafting a large population of individuals...

...Ethical and Moral Issues in Business Kenneth H. Niuman University of Phoenix Ethical and Moral Issues in Business How do you differentiate between ethics and morality.?How does ethics impact governance in business organizations. Ethics and morals may seem the same on the face of it, but if one were to analyze, there is definitely some difference. Morality refers to an adopted code of conduct within an environment and a set of agreed upon rules for what is 'right' and 'wrong'. Morals have formed the spine of modern society, religion and every individual's conscience. The conceptions changed in time and take on a new meaning. For example, killing a human being is immoral in any society but when on the battlefield soldiers are given medals for killing their enemy soldiers.. In a way, morality is in sync with ethics. While one is abstract in understanding, the other is defined and in the form of written code. Morality addresses the ethical queries on the moral outcome of a specific situation. The code of conduct formulated probes prohibitions, controversial behavior, standards of belief systems and social conformity of morally 'right' behavior. Moral codes define 'appropriate' and 'expected' activity. Community morality is usually defined via commentaries and codes of authority. Morality is better understood as an assimilation of beliefs about the essentials to lead a 'good' life. It is not to be confused with religious or fanatic or political preception. Moral codes are...

Social Institution of America and Germany

...Running head: America and Germany: Institution America and Germany: Institution America and Germany: Military Institutions War and Culture are intertwined with Politics as well as Religion. The reasons are because the Human Psyche governs these four things and such it is within the whims of those who have the powers or are have the power within the society or community to control it. It can be said that culture is equivalent of “any group of humans living or working together over time develops “habitual practices, default programs, hidden assumptions and unreflected cognitive frames” that inform their choices, or indeed they will have created “a repertoire or ‘tool kit’ of habits, skills, and styles from which people construct ‘strategies of action’.” (Lee 2011, pp.3) As such, war can result in a cultures ideology, socioeconomic background and religious beliefs. Most Wars have a main/central or focal point or theme as to why they are being fought, and it is the underlying cultures belief that governs the reason for said wars. (The Holy Wars due to Religion, the Civil War due to political beliefs of freedom and liberty, World War II due to religious and political propaganda). Americas Perception in regards to “Death’s Significance for the Civil war generation arose as well from its violation of prevailing assumptions about life’s proper end-about who should die, when and where, and under what circumstances.” (Faust 2008, pp. xxii) Before the war, dying was due to...

Franco and Fascist Spain

...The long term misunderstanding and simplification of RIGHT vs. LEFT terminology in political discourse is responsible for the misconception that “The RIGHT” with its emphasis on traditional, nationalistic, conservative or religious values is inevitably a step in the direction of the FAR RIGHT "ending in Fascism." Yet history has demonstrated that both political extremes share a basic common appeal to the “masses” and depend on a collectivist ideology that glorifies abstractions such as "The Nation," "The People," "The Throne" or "The Working Class." On the eve of World War II, various so called “Right Wing” authoritarian regimes of the conservative, traditional, national and religious type (always considered by the Left to be "proto-Fascist") in Ethiopia (Emperor Haile Selassi),  Austria (the “Clerical-Fascist” regime of Engelbert Dollfus and Kurt Schuschnigg), Poland (General Jozef Pilsudski and his successors), Yugoslavia (General Simovic and his supporters in the armed forces) and Greece (Ionnas Metaxas), all stood up and opposed Hitler and the Axis forces that threatened to blackmail, intimidate and subjugate their nations. All these leaders were labeled as “Fascist” by Soviet and Left-Wing propaganda up until the German invasion of the USSR in 1941. The Spanish Civil War has frequently been portrayed as an epic struggle between the forces of the LEFT (variously identified as progressive, liberal, socialist, internationalist, democratic and "anti-Fascist") and the RIGHT...

Toni Morrison`S Zula.the Other Among the Other

... action. The basis of all strands of the concept may be stated as that it concerns itself with women’s inferior position in society sand with the discrimination encountered by women because of their sex. “Feminism is a doctrine suggesting that women are systematically disadvantaged in the modern society and advocating equal opportunities for men and women.”(The Penguin Dictionary of Sociology, second Ed). The term includes many loose like liberal feminism, Marxist and socialist feminism, radical feminism. Liberal feminists work for equal rights for women within the framework of the liberal state; they did not question the structure –economic or political-of the state but they demand the rights and privileges given by the state should be equally shared by man and women. Marxist and socialist feminists’ link gender inequality and women’s oppression to the capitalist system. Women suffer a double exploitation as women and as members of the working class. Radical feminists disregard all questions of political and economic dispensation to concentrate on the roots of the problem. The central root of the problem is the system of patriarchy which leads to all kinds of discrimination against and devaluation of women. Politico-economic questions are not the roots but only auxiliaries. The concept of gender is the real villain and has to be demolished. Lately, more groups like Psychoanalytical feminism, Postmodern or Poststructuralists feminism, Black feminism and so on have also been added...

Film and Orientalism

...Film Final Evaluation Essay By Armando Khan Orientalism is something that has shaped the world. It has created the way we see culture. More than that it has placed culture in boxes and has probably led to the awareness of culture. By saying this I mean that the only reason we hold culture in such importance is because of difference. And that difference is caused by the wonder of orientalism. Orientalism is the portrayal off something mostly in a cultural context, in order to show a difference as well as to display something exotic. It overlooks similarities and is used to attract. This attraction comes from the exoticness for we are always attracted to something that seems distant from the mundaneness of our existences. With that being said, what also contributes to the attractiveness of orientalism is that orientalism can be seen by many as an escape. A place where taboos do not exist and one can break free of the shackles of society. Orientalism seemed to be most striking when depicted visually. Whether it be the nubile young boy on the cover of a book. Or a nude Chinese women on a placard , it was a subject of visual intrigue and something ,many in the west could not resist. This is probably why it was used in film which is what I shall get into later. Orientalism first came about with depictions of Arabic and Islamic regions. It became the norm as how this particular culture was to be viewed. This however overlooked the fact that there might have been styles that were...

La Ultima Cena

...mankind has for one another. Whether it is an disagreement on religion, a power struggle for land or the development of society, if there is one thing humans are consistent in is that we do not play nice. However, for people to judge each other on a superficial and meaningless factor such as color is truly bewildering, considering all the many things that makes us different. Because of this type of judgmental mentality, superiority complexes were soon followed, putting specific groups at the top of the food chain. Sadly, those of African descendance would bare the burden of being slaves, in every meaning of the words, to a vast majority of the world due the ignorance of the human race. The movie, The Last Supper, by Tomas Gutierrez Alea depicts the interaction and relationships of the denizens of a sugar plantation in Cuba during the eighteen hundreds. All from the Count to the overseer and slaves had ways of interacting with one another, which was mostly decided on their race and social status. The movie deals with various topics that defined that era in time and there are many reoccurring themes in the movie that can be seen in other periods of time and places. In this paper, many aspects of black culture will be discussed and how they relate compare and contrast to that of whites in the particular time frame in which the movie takes place, as well as discussing modern life implications that certain customs or believes back then have on our culture. The movie from the start makes...
