Re: Proposal to Augment Business Efficiency and Business Processes In Auto Dynamac
Dear Mr Cheng, I would like to thank you for taking time off your busy schedule to give me the opportunity to address and improve the current efficiency of the business processes in our company. During my 7 year tenure in the company, i have observed several operational inefficiencies and i would be highlighting and offering my solutions in a detailed implementation plan.

Current Situation!
Auto Dynamac is currently using a custom-made “Motor Workshop System” (MWS) which includes basic management tools such as customer database, inventory management and generating daily sales reports. Previously the customers’ information, requests, physical inventory and company’s accounts were done by manually recording the details into hardcopy record books. It took up time, space and did not allow the flexibility of use among users as there was only one copy. Therefore when MWS was first introduced in 2008, it helped to streamline the company’s business processes and its operational efficiency by decreasing the time needed to get the job done. However due to the ever-improving technology and the increasing needs and expectations of the consumers, our current business process framework is now considered to also be relatively back-dated. The MWS sought to increase the efficiency of keeping track of information as compared to manual recording, however it is not able to integrate the different processes of different departments together and a lot of work had to be still done manually. The productivity and efficiency of

...Business proposal A business proposal is perhaps one of the most critical documents you need to learn how to write. It is what spells the difference between success and failure, whether you’re a freelancer or you have a company of your own. In today’s cut-throat business world, entrepreneurs find themselves spending hours upon hours submitting business proposals to potential clients, and not get any results. On the other hand, there are those that are like snipers, able to get the contract after just submitting one business proposal. So how do they do it? Well, this article will teach you show you how to do just that. The Basics of a Business Proposal Before you even go and start writing that business proposal, you must first understand what it is and learn the basics. A business proposal is a written document that offers a particular product or service to a potential buyer or client. There are generally two kinds of business proposals: solicited business proposals (which are submitted in response to an advertisement published by the buyer or client) and unsolicited proposals (submitted or given out to potential buyers or clients even though they are not requesting for one). Business Proposal vs. Business Plan Quite often, the terms “business proposal” and “business plan” are used interchangeably, giving you the impression that they are one and the same. But they are not.7 A business proposal is created to offer a product or service to a buyer or client. On the other hand, a business...

...Business Proposal - Liliha Bakery ECO/561 November 26, 2014 Business Proposal - Liliha Bakery To be competitive in the bakery industry, the focus must meet the demand of local residents, as well as a significant level of tourism traffic from nearby highways. After researching several bakery comments on Yelp, there seems to be a demand for online service orders. An added feature to Liliha Bakery's homepage website will include an online ordering service along with a loyalty rewards program. This service is common in many food chain industries. The business proposal will provide a new service, the market structure, price elasticity, possible non-pricing strategies to increase barriers to entry, and determine how a mix of fixed and variable costs can change business operations. Liliha Bakery Liliha Bakery was a family owned business that opened in 1950 and later sold to a local entrepreneur. The bakery is a coffee shop and a diner with a full line of bakery items. The bakery has been in business since 1950. Liliha Bakery is a popular place to go when only "oven-fresh" baked goods will do. The competitive advantage for the bakery is its signature coco puffs that cannot be matched by any other bakery. There are currently two locations in the Honolulu area. One location provides the 24-hour customer convenience (Liliha Bakery, 2009). The current owner plans to open additional shops in Honolulu, as well as neighboring islands. With the recent opening of the second...

...Business Proposal Bradley Jameson ECO/561 July - 21 2014 Professor Seyed Baladi Business Proposal The technology market is a lucrative, ever-changing, and consistently growing business market. Will Bury (University of Phoenix, 2014) has developed a digital reading application that is simple to use, and necessary in today’s world of academics, business, and pleasure use. It is the intention of this business proposal to acquire the financing needed to begin launch of this new application and the following in-depth information will show that the numbers support Mr. Bury’s proposal. Market Analysis In the growing technological age and with the introduction of digital reading devices like the iPad® from Apple Inc. or the Kindle® from Amazon.com, the demand for digital reading formatted books has begun to surpass the demand for audio books. With the introduction of this technology, improvements and advances have led to devices that the hearing and visually impaired can also enjoy (National Library Service, 2009). The need for a physically printed book in the modern age is falling behind thanks in part to technology and the internet, and with eBook titles now taking up an estimated 30% of all book titles sold (Bercovici, 2014), it has become apparent that there is a marketplace for applications related to this field. While 30% may not seem like much, take into consideration that eBooks have been around less than a decade, whereas paperbacks have been in print for centuries...

...Business Proposal R. Michelle Thomas ECO/561 March 3, 2014 Nancy Irizarry Proctor & Gamble (P&G) is the world’s largest and most profitable consumer products company, with nearly $84 billion in sales and 25 billion-dollar brands. On February 20, 2014 P&G introduced another Swiffer product called The Sweep and Trap. P&G says The Sweep & Trap will make clean-up faster and easier. The Sweep & Trap picks up small and large particles in one swipe with no batteries, cords or power supply required (P&G, 2014). Business Proposal Market structure: P&G market structure is what is called Oligopoly; Oligopoly is a form of market where there is domination of a limited number of suppliers and sellers. P&G is the world’s largest consumer products company controlling over 90% of the market. In the consumer products market P&G is the leader and main competition to all other consumer product companies. At P&G a lot of time money and effort goes into product research and development and advertising is very important part of competition (P&G, 2014). Elasticity of the product(s): Over the last 10 years P&G has had to face some stiff competition from a handful of powerful low-priced retailers such as Wal-Mart, Target, and supermarket chains that offer private label brands or store brands. Because Procter & Gamble has the biggest portfolio of products in the household and personal care industry and generates over one...

The system we are proposing is Microsoft Access. The reason we are proposing to implement this new system is because since our business is growing it is getting cumbersome and time consuming to manage multiple “Excel” files to analyze company’s data. According to article by CPA Janet Samuels and Robert wood they suggest “Data handling and reporting capabilities of access are more efficient” (Samuels, Woods 2007). Excel should be used when we need to create a onetime report by plugging in data, however in access you will have to setup a database to form reports. Therefore, we should implement the relational database so information is forever stored and accessible by employees to create different multiple reports. The benefits of implementing Microsoft Access over Excel are listed below. Benefits of Implementing Microsoft Access 1. We can easily import all of our Excel files in to access by using the External data ribbon. This imported data will be...

...Business Proposal ECO/561 May 11, 2015 Business Proposal Introduction Transportation has evolved tremendously in today’s world. If someone does not have a way of transportation, there is a taxi service available and now a business called Uber. Uber is a company that is available to consumers to request a ride and pay via the mobile app. Uber is available in more than 50 countries and is expanding. This seemed to be very convenient to the consumers because they can go anywhere and even reserve a driver for a day for an individual price. Market Structure There are four basic types of market structure. They are as followed; Perfect Competition, Oligopoly, Monopoly, & Monopsony. Uber is fundamentally a marketplace, where supply is controlled not by the company but by the legion of independent contractors and transportation providers with whom they work. (Gurley, n.d.) That being said, their market structure is an Oligopoly because Oligopoly has to do with several large sellers who have some control over their prices. Elasticity of the product Price elasticity is imperative. Uber’s analysis and research have shown that both the supply curve and the demand curve are highly elastic (Gurley, n.d.). Uber lets the customers do the talking since the goal is to please them. Price elasticity tells how much of an impact a change in price will have on the consumers’ willingness to buy that item (Tuck, 2015). If the price is too high for the consumer, then they will most likely...

...Business Proposal Week 4 LaKeeta Seals University of Phoenix Samuel Imarhiagbe/Instructor February 29, 2011 Abstract Will Bury, an enterprising inventor, is convinced that soon everyone will be reading or listening to everything digitally, including books that have been mostly available in hard copy. He knows that there are books on CD, but these are relatively expensive and have been recorded using human readers. He also knows that there is technology that can transform the printed word into audio, but the sound is somewhat inhuman. Will plans on speeding up the transformation with a proprietary technology he has developed and patented. This technology takes the printed word for text materials and creates a file with the option of reading it digitally or listening to it with a realistic synthetic voice. In addition, Will Bury know that he has free access to books no longer under copyright protection, and he figures he can pay a royalty fee of $5 per title for copyrighted books that greatly will expand his catalog. So far, he has limited himself to English-language books but is working on a language translation option as well. The purpose is to create a business proposal to improve the existing goods and services for Will Bury’s new product. In this paper the subject to discuss is profit-maximizing and increasing revenue. Marginal cost, marginal revenue, credit markets, and the unemployment rate are briefly covered. Additional sections will...

...Business Proposal Ijeoma Onwuneme ECO 561 June 2nd, 2014 Introduction Within any industry the fiscal or economic goals are to increase revenue; determine the fixed and variable costs for the business; and determine how to maximize profit. In order to reach those goals an organization needs to establish the pricing structure, product differentiation, and how to minimize the costs for the product. In this proposal will layout the strategies to reach those goals in order to make a more economic successful organization. Company Background A sound prediction made by the organization is, in the very near future, society will be moving exclusively to digital. Books, news, magazines, TV shows, and movies the boom in digitalization will be grand and swift. Seeing a market for a unique form of digitalizing books and magazines the organization created a technology that allows for the printed word to be converted into a file that can be read digitally or listened to with a realistic sounding synthetic voice. The organization patented the technology and is currently competing against other organizations that offer similar services. The main competitor lies in an organization known as books on cd. This places the organization in monopolistic competition, which is, “characterized by a relatively large number of sellers producing differentiated products.” (McConnell, Brue, & & Flynn, 2009, p. 177) Currently, the organization is run out of a small venue, and...

In this proposal, assumptions about the elasticity of demand and the market structure for these medications and expanded services will be included. Additionally, how the expansion will increase revenues will be explained. Further, a rationale for determining the profit-maximizing quantity will be provided. Decisions will be made by using the concepts of marginal costs and marginal revenue to maximize profit. A mix of pricing and non-pricing strategies will be suggested. This proposal will also explore options of creating or increasing barriers to entry. Further, increased product differentiation will be discussed. Finally, other way to minimize costs will be explored. Market Structure and Elasticity of Demand CVS retail pharmacies operate in a monopolistic competition market structure. According to Investopedia (2012), the monopolistic competition is, “A type of competition within an industry where: 1. Firms produce similar yet not perfectly substitutable products. 2. Firms can enter the industry if the profits are attractive. 3. Firms are profit maximizers. 4. Firms have some market power, which means none are price takers. Firms in a monopolistic competition sell goods that have either actual or perceived non-price differences...
