Memorial Health System (MHS) is dealing with lack of candor, lack of belief in the project, project complexity, inability to anticipate short-term disruptions, and lack of technology stability and maturity while implementing a clinician provider order entry (CPOE) system (University of Phoenix, n.d.). These potential failures can be avoided with proper planning and integration. Not realizing the complexity of the project is a failure that MHS made while implementing the CPOE program (Wager, Lee, & Glaser, 2009).
