The recovery plan maximises choice, by reducing coercion by promoting a culture of optimism for Jeremy, as addressed by the domain. (Australian Health Minister’s Advisory Council, 2013). His lived experience, maximises his close relationships with his wife and brother, in order to recover, recovery is different for everyone in different ways.
The recovery plan embraces and enables Jeremy and his families having a mental illness to interact and draw benefit from one another by promoting support and a culture of optimism for the recovery of Jeremy. Helping him to regain value and reconnection with his feelings, with an outcome of positive expectation, is important that there is communication between him and his family. The family actively seeks ways to support Jeremy, through art and other activities, adapting to Jeremy’s condition. (Patterson, Crawford, Ainsworth & Waller, 2011).
Alternatively, there are therapies enables Jeremy to develop a sense of autonomy and control in selected materials. By developing and understanding of internal “reality” as feelings become visible instead of being internalised. (Patterson, Crawford, Ainsworth, & Waller, 2011).
Throughout the film, it is observed the commitment Jeremy’s family has to support him in his recovery, the family has the recovery vision, commitment. As it is observed, his wife has nursing skills to support him in his recovery. (McCauley, McKenna, Keeney, & McLaughlin, 2015). It is a rewarding process yet demanding, she plays an important role in his life, and it is a constant challenge which extends beyond remission and functional recovery.
