Also, I have learned how to think on my feet and roll with the program even when things do not turn out according to original plans.” In 2012, Keckler began college after attending Hardin County High School. She chose to major in psychology in hopes of becoming a psychologist. While working as a student worker and intern on campus, her aspirations began to shift. “When I started college,” Keckler said, “I never would have thought that I would graduate wanting to work in a university environment. Now, I want to work with college students to help them reach their full potentials at leaders, as well!” Keckler doesn’t regret not going to a larger campus setting. Keckler attributes her leadership skills and growth to the close-knit Lambuth community. “Attending UM Lambuth has opened so many doors for me,” Keckler said. “There are so many opportunities that have been presented to me that I probably would not have had a chance at if I had gone to a larger university. Also, UM Lambuth having such a need for leaders really helped break me out of my shell and forced me to become more responsible and a better leader. I am the outgoing, bubbly leader that you see today because I came to UM
