Lara is a short form of Larisa, which means “citadel”. The definition of citadel is a fortress protecting or dominating a city or area, typically from a high ground. The meaning of the name doesn’t fit Lara very well. Lara is more of a caring and big-hearted person than a protecting or dominating person. Lara really likes Miles, and Miles knows but is stuck in a love triangle with Alaska and Lara. Lara is more similar to Miles, being not a talker but a thinker. Lara was being very kind when she offered Miles that he can come to her room if he wanted to. Miles, still being obsessed with Alaska, even after her death, didn’t show up.
