Effective leaders typically make smart choices. They must also be willing to make unpopular decisions or act when others are unwilling. People often avoid making important decisions because they fear they'll become unpopular or be criticized by management. I believe almost anyone can be a manger especially when most organizations lay out the foundation of what is expect of or from you. Being a leader doesn’t just mean “you put your time in” or “paid your dues”, it means genuine dedication, a sense of pride in your profession, and going the extra mile even when it means sacrifice.
