Registered Nurse.
1.
* Nurses provide advice and emotional support to patients and their family members. I’m kindhearted, loving, generous, and emotional which I think is needed to be a nurse. You need to be able to understand and comprehend others emotions. * Nurses assist doctors during surgery. Assisting doctors with procedures will be fun, nurses may do anything from opening locations for surgery, operating laparoscopic cameras, suturing wounds, providing suction, or anything else that the surgeon may need. * Cleaning up after a “code Brown” (feces) will absolutely be the most disliked duty as a nurse. No one likes cleaning up a patient who most likely has Clostridium Difficile infection also known as C-diff. Patients with C-diff have fifteen plus watery stools a day.
2. Registered nurses work in hospitals, physician’s office, home healthcare services, and nursing facilities which gives the option to the nurse to work in whatever environment she feels comfortable in. Whether it may be in a large well known hospital who is always busy or a slow quiet nursing home where there is not much commotion going on.

3. A minimum of an Associate’s degree is required to become a registered nurse. The preferred degree which is the most common is the Bachelors of Science nursing, BSN, RN. The highest degree a nurse can obtain is a Masters in science nursing, MSN, RN. In order to become a registered nurse, you will need to take a nursing exam through the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). To become a registered nurse with a bachelors in science sounds like a lot of work, but I am determined to complete school and work hard to get there.

4. The average salary in nursing is $66,640 a year. This salary will be enough to support my family.
5. Nursing is the correct path for myself. The information given only justifies some of the reasons why I want to become a nurse.

Emergency Management Specialists.

1.

* Coordinate activities and planning will be something I would like doing since I usually plan my everyday life events. * Provide disaster preparedness training is what I do now in my department, which I enjoy going around one on one with the nurses and doctors and demonstrating how to be prepared in case of an emergency. * The one duty I would dislike is the public speaking since I’m shy and do not like to stand in front of a crowd with all eyes on me.

2. You must be able to speak and demonstrate to a crowd what you are presenting. I’m extremely shy and dislike speaking in front of a crowd.

3. A four year bachelor’s degree is required. Employees usually need several years of work related experience, on-the-job training, and/or vocational training. I believe it is a lot of schooling but I’m sure it’s worth it because it is teaching others how to prepare themselves in case of an emergency.

4. Average salary is $25.28 hourly, $52,590 annually. This salary will be enough to support my family.

5. This is not the correct career choice for myself. I’m not the kind of person who likes to speak in front of a crowd and would be very uncomfortable.

Human Resources Managers

1. * Recruiting, staffing, compensation and benefit administration are all good duties I would like to do. Knowing who will be joining your team and picking out the best is rewarding and compensating and letting them know they are appreciated is even better. * The most disliked duty would be the documentation, paperwork because I’m more hands on and dislike sitting at a desk writing and entering documentation.
2. Maintaining functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance. It would be good to have the choice of who gets hired and being able to compensate employees for their work.
3. A four-year bachelor's degree. Employees in these occupations usually need several years of work-related experience, on-the-job training, and or vocational training. It’s a lot of school but not my choice of career.
4. $42.95 hourly, $89,330 annually. With many years of experience it is enough to support my family and lifestyle.
5. Human Resources Manager sounds like a good job if I were wanting to work in the administration field. It’s a lot of office duties and making sure all rules are followed, keeping a close eye on employees.

One is Salva Dut, about how war came to his village and he was separated from his family. His expedition was long and hard, and all he wanted was to be safe. Linda Galinda

...Today, I went to library to listen Linda Galindo speech. I heard that she was going to talk about how people be accountable, I have no idea why people could be accountable, is she going to talk about the value of people or not? This topic makes me in, I want to know what specific she can teach us. Actually, she made me think of what people real value is after her wonderful speech. In Linda Galindo’s speech, she pointed out that the only true accountability is "personal accountability" and the only way to achieve it is to take responsibility for the outcomes of your choices, behaviors and actions. There was one example she mentioned in the speech: someone did a great job in the interview, he showed all his talents to interviewer, people would considered him as bright and smart person, however, he is unworthy because he was not doing his job, or finish his job sloppy, doing something inappropriate at work, talked offensive to coworkers. The people like him, it is not accountable. In a company, when we look at someone and check if they are accountable or not, we are not only looked at how much he can work, but also his personality. I learned that People who are high personal accountability can contribute more to the company, since company are not need to expend extra sources to control and regulate them, they know what are doing and what they supposed to do. To the contrary, company which has abandon low personal accountability, it required spends more sources on them to control...

...Ethics - Linda Pastan In ethics class so many years ago our teacher asked this question every fall: if there were a fire in a museum which would you save, a Rembrandt painting or an old woman who hadn't many years left anyhow? Restless on hard chairs caring little for pictures or old age we'd opt one year for life, the next for art and always half-heartedly. Sometimes the woman borrowed my grandmother's face leaving her usual kitchen to wander some drafty, half imagined museum. One year, feeling clever, I replied why not let the woman decide herself? Linda, the teacher would report, eschews the burdens of responsibility. This fall in a real museum I stand before a real Rembrandt, old woman, or nearly so, myself. The colors within this frame are darker than autumn, darker even than winter--the browns of earth, though earth's most radiant elements burn through the canvas. I know now that woman and painting and season are almost one and all beyond saving by children. A New Poet Finding a new poet is like finding a new wildflower out in the woods. You don't see its name in the flower books, and nobody you tell believes in its odd color or the way its leaves grow in splayed rows down the whole length of the page. In fact the very page smells of spilled red wine and the mustiness of the sea on a foggy day - the odor of truth and of lying. And the words are so familiar, so strangely new, words you almost wrote yourself, if only in...

The Golden Tara

...As we can see, art and religion is present in the relic, “The Golden Tara”. The religious culture is manifested by a sculpture, or an idol, showing the artistic capacity of the civilization many years ago. This practice is still present in our time today, similar to the paintings and sculptures of many diverse religions. The discovery of these ancient tools is a proof of technology being used and developed long ago. We already had these basic tools long before we were discovered by different races. These also depict our ancestor’s simple standard of living. Having these tools proves that our ancestors were already looking for advancement in the way they live, and as they develop with time, even more technology is urbanized and more knowledge is unveiled. The practice of Trade has been long present since before the coming of the Spaniards. Evidence of this practice are the Chinese ceramics that were uncovered from some places in Cebu. Trade has always been a major player in the economy, and trading doesn’t only mean exchange of goods, but also exchange of knowledge. Warfare has always played a role in many societies. Most of them are caused by conflicting tribal affairs, protection of power, and ownership of land. In some places of Cebu, some traces of war artifacts are found, proving that warfare was present in the bygone times. Some tools and weapons were excavated and it can also be seen that warfare was of great importance during their...

Endeavor

...need to grow their companies into bigger businesses that can employ more people—the best antipoverty program of all. —Thomas L. Friedman, from his book, The World is Flat (version 3.0) It was July 2007, and Linda Rottenberg, cofounder and CEO of Endeavor—a nonprofit dedicated to transforming the economies of emerging markets by identifying and supporting high-impact entrepreneurs—was preparing for a quarterly meeting with the global board of directors. She leafed through a copy of the 2007 Impact Report, checking over the newly published figures one more time. In its 10-year history, Endeavor had selected 272 promising entrepreneurs in eight countries, after screening 15,500 candidates, and then helped them develop and grow their businesses through ongoing mentorship and guidance. Rottenberg was proud of the organization’s accomplishments, but she also knew there was no time for complacency. With aggressive goals for international expansion, the board would definitely want to hear an update on Rottenberg’s growth strategy. The directors had also asked to discuss the recent surge in corporate partnership opportunities and long-term plans for funding Endeavor’s main operations in New York. GENESIS OF THE IDEA The idea for Endeavor came to its founders, Linda Rottenberg and Peter Kellner, by way of their experience with Ashoka. Bill Drayton founded Ashoka in 1980 to help support nonprofits around the world. He saw the power of these organizations and believed the...

Analysis of Linda Loman

...In the play, Linda Loman is a kind and caring wife of Willy. She is a type of character where she refuses to see beyond Willy’s lies and protect him instead. I think that Linda tries to understand Willy but at times she doesn’t get the big picture of Willy’s life. She doesn’t know about his finances, job, or his affair with another woman. In the play, at times I would say Linda is a submissive wife and mother. Linda is somewhat like a submissive wife because she doesn’t know why she defends her husband’s behavior even when he lashes out at her. For example, in the play, Willy and Biff get into a fight and Linda tries to defend both sides but Willy tells Linda to shut up and doesn’t let her talk. I think that Linda lets Willy yell at her that way because she has always been treated like this by Willy. Another thing that lets the reader know that Linda is a caring mother is that she expresses concern over Biffs’ poor grades in math. She also wants to make Biff change and be a better person by not trying to be aggressive around Willy and to not have a tendency to steal from others. For example, unlike Willy when Biff steals a football from the school’s locker room, Willy tells Biff to go return it. However, Willy gives in and tells Biff to keep it to practice and that the football coach won’t mind. When I think of if Linda has a realistic view of her sons, I see that it is not realistic. Linda wants her sons to do well in school and give attention to their father. However, Biff...

The Linda Brown Case

...The case originated back in 1950. In the 1950s segregation laws in many states prohibited African American children and white children from attending the same schools. Linda Brown, an African American girl, could not attend a less-crowded white school a few blocks from her home in Topeka, Kan. So instead, each and every single day little Linda brown and her sister had to walk through a dangerous railroad switchyard just to get to the bus stop for their long ride across town to their all-black elementary school. Even though there was a school just a few blocks away, it was only for whites only. The path of the case started from Linda brown and her family believing that the segregated school systems violated the 14th amendment,...
