It was typical fall day with all different kinds of clouds and the sun was out. The temperature was warm and nice, the leaves were starting to turn different colors. Down a gravel road lay fifteen soccer fields crammed with players from all over the area. It was the biggest tournament of the year.

We were getting ready for our final game against Manheim. A team that's pretty good and the one that we tied 0-0. We knew the game was going to be a close one so we got prepared seriously and we were prepared as ever before as our coach told us our positions and how we were going to play the ball. So the 2nd half began and about 5 minutes in Manheim has a corner kick and that was bad for us because they were all taller than us by a couple of inches and what do you know, the person taking the kick kicked the ball high and right in the middle of the 18 and headed the ball into the net. The score was now 1-0 Manheim. later during the game and a few very good saves from both keepers, the score was still 1-0. about 5 minutes left in the game, Brendan, the left defender was charging the ball and trying to get to the ball before a guy who was twice his size. they both got to the ball at the same time and made a knee to knee collision and Brendan was hurt badly. But the other guy was just fine. you could see how bad it must of hurt because he had been walking on one leg. Minutes later the game had ended 2-0, a tough loss. After the game we all went over to the award ceremony. first we got our trophies which were smaller than the 1st place ones but the same thing.
