...How to compete with a retail box store A competetor analyis would have to be done first. There is almost no way a small hardware store could ever compete with big retail selling the same items. Most big retail stores buy bulk so that that may sell at a lower price. Small hardware stores can not keep that much inventory alone in their stores. So seeing what your competetor and you share as far as price point on the items the small store carries would be essential. He would be wise to avoid as much direct competetion as possible. I would recommend is to carry better brands than whats at the big retail chanis. Lowe’s and Home Depot do not carry what most people think of as a “quality tool“. By stocking your shelfs with items such as speciality tools that the retail chains may not have in stock often and tools of better quaility than the box chains cheaper, but easily more disposable product you can earn a name as being a more reliable hardware store where you can buy tools that last. ...Abstract Sales promotion has been in constantly growth since the 1960’s and have today become one of the key factors in the promotional mix. The methods used have become more sophisticated and an increasing number of companies are realizing the importance of a well structured promotion strategy. The purpose of this thesis is to provide a better understanding on how sales promotion is used in B2B setting. In order to reach this purpose, research questions focusing on the objectives of sales promotion, as well as which sales promotion tools that were used were stated. Based on these research questions, a review of the relevant literature was conducted, resulting in a conceptual framework, which was used to guide this study's data collection. A qualitative, case study approach was used, using interviewing at an industrial company in Sweden as the primary data collection tool. The findings indicate that, although the individual objectives of the tools can be different they can still be used overall to lead to the same overall goal. It was also found that the focus is not always on using sales promotion tools to generate sales, but to improve relationships. As for the tools used, it was found that there are commonly used sales promotional tools in B2B settings. The purpose of this article is to investigate the influence of brand loyalty on cosmetics buying behavior of female consumers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in the UAE. The seven factors of brand loyalty are brand name, product quality, price, design, promotion, service quality and store environment. Questionnaires were distributed and self-administered to 382 respondents. Descriptive analysis, one-way ANOVA and Pearson Correlation were used in this study. The findings of this study indicated that brand name has shown strong correlation with brand loyalty. The research results showed that there is positive and significant relationship between factors of brand loyalty (brand name, product quality, price, design, promotion, service quality and store environment) with cosmetics brand loyalty.
