...MOTIVATION LETTER I am an English Teacher at an Islamic lower secondary school in a rural area of Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia. Since the commencement of my English study at the bachelor programme, I have identified that I have been interested in the field of teaching English. When I was a kid, I dreamt to go abroad to know and study the cultures, history, social life, and people of any countries in the world. I believed that the best ways to make this eager desire carried out, were to study and master the English language because of its position as an International language. Furthermore, I do not just want to master the English knowledge and skills for the benefit of myself, but I also need to make other people in my local area, and in Indonesia generally, have the knowledge and skills better than me. If my students have a good English skills and knowledge, they will take part as an important role in the development of their local area and also for Indonesia. For instance, the Southeast Sulawesi province has a great potential mining beside the agricultural resources. I observed that these potential resources have not managed well because of the limitedness of human resource. I am responsible in preparing the young generations of Indonesia through English language teaching to face the globalisation era so that they can interlace a good relationship or cooperation with any individuals, institutions, or government of other countries around the world in the field of economy,...

...on Growth Diagnostics of Indonesia February 6, 2013 I. Introduction The goal of every country is to achieve not only sustainable development but also inclusive growth. Sustainable development, as defined by the Brundtland Commission, is a "development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs". Inclusive growth on the other hand, pertains to an equitable allocation of resources to every sector of the society which in effect decreases the rapid growth rate of poverty, at the same time increasing the involvement of its people to the growth of the country. To be considered as an industrialized and developed country, one must take consideration on the political, social and most importantly the economic aspect in order for the country to be competitive in the market and also promote a high standard of living. Those prerequisites can be achieved by determining first the factors that trigger the economic growth of a country and that include infrastructures, human capital, literacy, safety, and other indicators. In layman’s term, an economy can be defined as the system that is used to manage the resources in a country. It is often used as an indicator to measure how rich or poor a country and its people are. When an economy is doing well, the government is able to meet the needs of the people and its country. In this paper, we will study the growth diagnostics of Indonesia to determine how far the...

...Indonesia Country Report Q1 2012 POLITICAL AND SOCIAL BACKGROUND Indonesia has excellent prospects for long term growth, based on macroeconomic stability, supported by strong domestic consumption and stable political conditions. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono’s reputation remains high in international circles, boosted by the country’s focus on re-establishing its leadership role within ASEAN and as the incoming Chair of APEC 2013. The country has a demonstrated desire to take on a global role by promoting itself as the world’s third largest democracy and largest moderate Muslim-majority country, but also as a new Asian economic powerhouse with stable economic growth and sound macroeconomic outlook. A more influential role in G20 highlights how Indonesia now is placed alongside giants China and India as one of the most important emerging economies in the world. Yudhoyono has two and a half years left in office and should further accelerate the reforms of the country, before his term ends in 2014. However, the most pressing reform on subsidised fuel price has yet again been postponed. In late March Indonesia’s revised 2012 budget was discussed in parliament. Following violent demonstrations, the President lost crucial support within his coalition failing to push the fuel price hike vote through parliament. The President’s Party has taken a hit in terms of popularity. A survey by the Indonesian Survey Institute showed that domestic support for the ruling Democratic Party...

There will also be some solutions that are offered to decrease the number of domestic violence in Surabaya. Background Humans are social beings. Every human needs other people to carry out his/her life. This means that every human must gather and work together to build a better life and the key point of working together is having the same goal. Building a team, communities, and organizations are some of the way to achieve the same goal that people have. But besides that, the simplest way to achieve a goal that people have in common is building a family. Family is very important because it is the basic need of human being. Family is a place to build a character of a person. Family is a place to learn how to respect and protect each other. And family will only work out only when the members work together and have a positive relationship to each other. Nowadays, in Surabaya, the meaning of building a good family has been fading. Every year, the number of divorce in Surabaya is getting bigger and bigger. And one of the causes of that is violence that happens in the family. Surabaya is one of the cities that have the highest number of domestic violence in Indonesia. ...Disusun sebagai Makalah Akhir Mata Kuliah Perekonomian Indonesia OLEH: AHMAD MUFTI FANNANI NPM: 1006689750 UNIVERSITAS INDONESIA DESEMBER 2012 Gambaran Tujuan Kebijakan dan Peranan Fiskal Pemerintahan Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono 2004-2009 Kebijakan Fiskal adalah kebijakan yang dibuat pemerintah untuk mengarahkan ekonomi suatu negara melalui pengeluaran dan pendapatan pemerintah dalam bidang anggaran belanja negara. Untuk anggaran belanja Negara sendiri terdiri dari : 1. Penerimaan atas pajak 2. Pengeluaran pemerintah (government expenditure) 3.
