Matty had spent far too much money on the evening they'd have together.

It was some pretentious restraunt that he hadn't ever heard of until she had suggested they go there for a date night. Date nights, though, never really turned out in his favor. They ended with an argument or disagreement that droned on for a few days.

He didn't suspect reservations to be over a hundred quid per person, and upon researching a bit about the place, he learned that the food and drinks could cost even more.

There was a bar, though, and he could never turn down an offer like that.

At this point, he was furious. She would actually attempt to ruin his friendship with the friend he had known the longest simply because they were close enough for her to be jealous. He nearly leapt across the table, realizing as he did so that he could have stood up to get it. Lots of people looked as he knocked over the bottle of wine and it rolled of the table, luckily staying in one piece when it fell.

He heard the sound of the message sending, and sunk back into his chair in disappointment. "What did you say?" he asked quietly, expecting a horrible answer.

"It doesn't matter, does it? You won't be talking to him again."

Matty was feeling a mix of emotions that could only described as a sea of blue swirling with an angry red. She had the audacity to message George, pretending to be Matty, and think everything was perfectly fine. Not only that, but what if he couldn't convince George that what she said hadn't been him. His mind was racing with possibilities, and none of them were positive. His eyes were burning with the positivity of tears, so he resisted blinking until the feeling
