FACTS Plaintiff, Robert Nicastro, was an employee working with a metal-shearing machine when he injured his hand. Defendant, J. Mclntyre Machinery, Ltd., is the manufacturer of the machine. The machinery is incorporated, operates, and is also manufactured in England. Nicastro’s injury occurred in New Jersey in which he sued the company in New Jersey. The Supreme Court of New Jersey determined the case would be under their jurisdiction because machines were sold in New Jersey, four machines were in the state, and the company was held responsible for the local dealer’s sales and advertising.
