“As a professional, the imperative must lie on serving your people.”&
“The value of higher education is to make men aware of what was and what is, to incite them to probe into what might be.”-Otto Keppler
The knowledge gained through schools and colleges, I think is not an education, but the ways for it. It is this thinking that makes me ‘a student to the end of my days’: the clear direction being inquisitive towards exploration. One of the sweet memories of my childhood deeply attached to me is that of my first day in school. My first day at school is one of my graphic remembrance. I distinctly remember I was weeping as my parents leave me in a strange environment. In school we have to draw pictures of known objects, my teacher recited …show more content…
So, Mechanical engineering was a direct consequence of my convictions.
Subjects like Manufacturing Process, CAD/CAM, Fluid Mechanics & Machine Tool Engineering,
Machine Design, Operation Management, Kinematics & Dynamics of Machines, Automotive
Engineering, Applied Thermodynamics, Control Systems Engineering etc. explore to me limitless horizons in the field of Mechanical Engineer ing. My undergraduate study is a richly rewarding experience, during which I have participated in various Industrial training programs.
The pursuit for knowledge has been the supreme goal in my life. We are in an era of global and technological changes where boundaries are fast disappearing and the greatest challenge tomorrow holds for us is to manage continuity of change. To satiate my raging thirst for learning and to fulfill my ambitions I have decided to pursue a master’s program in Mechanical
Engineering. I would like to get involved in research work in the areas like Automation or
Manufacturing processes, Heat& Mass Transfer, Mechanics of machine. Although there is a vast scope for research in these areas, the scope for research in Pakistan is limited. The need …show more content…
The ever-increasing role played by computers in every field of Engineering and their synergetic role in manufacturing procedures called ‘Computer Integrated Manufacturing’ or
CIM has encouraged me to learn various software packages like Auto Cad & Pro-E. The 4 years degree undergraduate course has not only provided me strong fundamentals but also has encouraged me to learn more. So, at that point my career objective is a master’s degree in
Engineering followed by a Ph.D. and research base career in industry or academia. The selection of a good university along with a faculty dedicated to teaching and research and an atmosphere conducive to learning thus becomes extremely necessary.

Mechanical Engineering Purpose Study

...Statement of Purpose I was thirteen when I prepared a miniature working model of a vending machine for my school’s Science Fair. I came across this idea while watching a movie and was completely fascinated by the ease with which one could access a beverage at the press of a button. I incorporated a simple lever mechanism in the model which poured the beverage upon inserting a marble as the lever would operate upon addition of the marble’s mass. My efforts were highly acclaimed by parents and teachers, and my model was selected as one of the best models of that year. When I look back now, that event seems trivial compared to my present achievements but that was the event which laid the foundation of the exciting and wonderful journey ahead. Being an inquisitive student I was driven by curiosity and aroused by complex problems dealing with applied science and mathematics, thus pursuing Mechanical Engineering seemed a natural consequence. I topped the merit list among all the students joining Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University for B. Tech degree as per All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) rank, the basis for admission. I excelled at subjects like Thermodynamics, Heat and Mass Transfer, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Combustion and...

Mechanical Engineering Purpose Statement

...STATEMENT OF PURPOSE SHRAVAN MEHRA As a child, questions like “why?” and “how?” were the first ones that came to my mind. Both my parents being Dental Surgeons often took me to their clinic hoping that I would become interested in the field of dentistry, but that was not to be. In fact, I was more interested in the tools and instruments they used. The small drills, the syringes, the water jets and the automatic chair fascinated me. I realized that, I wanted a career where I could explore new things, design and analyse such tools on a daily basis. Mechanical Engineering was the only field that could satiate this thirst of mine. I completed my high school graduation from one of the most reputed schools in Mumbai, India. The fantastic teachers over there spurred my interest further in Science and Mathematics. During school I had realised that Mathematics and Science were my strong areas, with a keen proclivity towards Physics. My interests in the field of science saw its rewards in terms of academic excellence securing...

Mechanical Engineers Qualities for Millennium 3

...Mechanical Engineers Qualities for Millennium 3 1) Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent. The mechanical engineer has been called the general practitioner and the jack-of-all trades among engineering professions. This is because he requires education and skills that span a broad range of technical, social, environmental, and economic problems. In general, however, the mechanical engineer is concerned with controlling the principles of motion, energy, and force through mechanical solutions. A mechanical engineer designs the tools and processes used for satisfying the needs of society through a combination of material, human, and economic resources. He might work on electric generators, internal combustion engines, steam and gas turbines, and other power-generating machines. He might also develop machines such as refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment, power tools, and other power-using machines. Engineers must combine a good understanding of science, mathematics, and computers with a good knowledge of current technology. At the high school level, the emphasis is on mathematics. Two years of algebra plus courses in geometry and trigonometry generally are required. In addition to the sciences and math, engineers need good communication skills, so don't neglect the liberal arts and humanities. In addition, remember that many of the large industrial firms that employ mechanical engineers are multinational...
