In Mike Huckabee’s, Gods, Guns, Grits, and Gravy, he describes and puts emphasis on topics he believes to be important. He talks about everything from Jay-Z to gay marriage and his stance, as well as experiences, with the topic. By reading his story, readers can really take his views against their own to see if they agree and to what extent. For example, he is completely against gay marriage, and even threatened to leave the republican party if they chose to support gay marriage as they hadn’t done before. However, before going crazy, one must look at why he thinks this way. This is ultimately the government playing into the lives of the citizens.
