Imagine not being able to voice out your ideas. Think about the times where you didn’t fully complete something and got blamed for it. Awful isn’t it? If I, Jeanette Liu, became a part of 2016-2017’s NJHS Community Service Chair(s), you wouldn’t have to endure the feeling of not being able to express yourself. You wouldn’t have to deal with the guilt that eats you away because you didn’t complete your service hours. Additionally, with the qualities that I possess (responsibility, courtesy, organization), I would make a considerable candidate for the Community Service Chair of NJHS. Like many other officer positions in NJHS, the Community Service Chair(s) holds a lot of responsibility in their hands. Keeping a log and remembering to notify other members is the officer’s responsibility; I have the capacity to fulfill this responsibility. Over the summer, I held the responsibility of being in charge of the candy store that my summer camp had. Without courtesy when communicating with others, it would be difficult to get them to actually listen to you. As a result of my usual behavior, I can say that I have the courtesy to be a member of NJHS’s community Service Chair(s). Whenever I talk to adults and my peers, I always do my best to sound as polite as possible. And because of that, I’m able to improve my communication skills and gain respect from others.
