...March 18, 2004 Mr. Mark Agro Agro Storage Toronto, ON M3P 23R Dear Mark, As you requested I’ve prepared the following report to address some concerns about your new warehouse. This report contains a full analysis of the situation, as well as a solid recommendation on how you should proceed. I’ll be in contact with you next week to discuss this report, but should you have any questions for me before that time please feel free to contact me. Sincerely, Sample Student Executive Summary Agro Storage has recently purchased a cold-storage warehouse that stores packages for three customers. Although the warehouse runs at 85% capacity, the previous owner was unsatisfied with profitability. Pressure on prices downward and the non-homogeneity of customer packages complicates matters. I have developed three criteria for choosing a solution – profitability, risk and perceived image our customers. Of all these, I’ve determined profitability to be the most important criteria upon which to base a recommendation. In order to begin my analysis, I determined what an average package would look like for each customer. I then calculated the costs associated with each characteristic of a package, including weight, volume and area. In order to make a recommendation, I focused on four main alternatives: • Maintaining Status Quo • Contracting the whole warehouse to one customer • Maintaining all three customers, but renting additional space to the most...

Opression or Economic, Demographic Necessity

...John Hennes History 311 March 19, 2014 Oppression or Economic/Demographic Necessity? Ancient Greco-Roman societies are discussed to this day for their amazing accomplishments in the areas of philosophy, architecture and politics. Their imprint on history is something that will likely never be reproduced. Both of these societies are recognized as patriarchal in nature, which means that there were limited opportunities for women in comparison to the western societies of today which will be discussed in Return of the Patriarchy by Phillip Longman. The best way to determine the reasons for the limitations placed on Greek and Roman women is to refer to ancient writings which capture the realities of their lives and times. It can be surmised from these writings that the limitations placed on women was not the result of lack of respect or capability but driven by necessity. The necessity of a patriarchal society in Greece and Rome was the primary factor in the limitations set on women. Phillip Longman talks about patriarchy in his article Return of Patriarchy describing it as, “a value system that not only requires men to marry but to marry women of proper station…a cultural regime that serves to keep birthrates high among the affluent, while also maximizing parents’ investment in their children…no advanced civilization has yet learned how to endure without it” meaning that the only way that Greece and Rome could have existed for as long as it did was with this system of patriarchy...

Megan Rapinoe Criticism

...He lived in a little small town and practiced everyday to become what he wanted; the best. Messi and his family had moved out of their city into Spain. When you’re older, it’s a tough decision to just up and move far away and leave everything behind. As Nagle states, “At the age of 13 Messi and his family moved to Barcelona, and he began playing for the FC Barcelona’s under 14 team” (Nagle 77). Even though he moved across the country into a completely unfamiliar city, he was motivated and worked up to being on an above team like he once was. He might have been the best in his mind, but some coaches didn't agree. As Rollin says, “Messi started playing football as a boy and in 1995 joined the youth team of Newell’s old boys” (Rollin 1). The coaches had given him good criticism to work on and be on an excellent team that he wanted to strive for. As Messi...

...is what lures a customer, which provides income for the company. Many customers will not pay over a certain amount for the application, because the movie selection is good, but not that wonderful. Customers might as well have available Cable TV, or satellite TV if prices go any higher. That is the mind frame of paying customers. Now my job is to create a plan that keeps Netflix with as many movies as possible, without raising the price on the loyal customers already signed up with the company. (Melicher & Zale, 2011). "Pricing policies are rules or habits, either explicit or cultural, that determine how a company varies its prices when facing factors other than value and costs, that threaten it’s the ability to achieve its objectives" (Nagle, 2011, p. 96). Pricing

...Pricing Strategy Sabrina Morgan Strategic Market Pricing Dr. Green February 2, 2012 Pricing Strategy I have fond childhood memories. Some of them are centered around Saturday afternoons at Ollie’s. Ollie’s was the restaurant that my uncle Oliver opened when I was about eight years old. The restaurant was a charming neighborhood favorite known for its burgers and homemade shakes. I shared many meals there with my family. I had birthday parties there and worked for my uncle when I was in high school. The restaurant nestled in a residential area and near several local businesses thrived for many years through the patronage of neighbors and regulars within the community. My uncle retired and closed the restaurant closed the restaurant two years ago. Recently I inherited Ollie’s. I am now faced with the task of how to reopen the restaurant and which direction to take. My choices guide the success of my business . There are many factors to consider when venturing to open a new restaurant. The building isn’t new but my concept will be. My uncle’s concept was basically a full service family style restaurant with menus items for breakfast, lunch and dinner. When I think the kind of restaurant to...

...| Question 16 Discuss the natural justice process in sport tribunals. Should athletes at either domestic or professional level be able to have legal representation? Natural justice process in sport tribunals In sport tribunals as in courts the laws of natural justice are applied to ensure that an accused person is given the right to a fair trial. Healy (2009, 114) confirms this and outlines the laws of natural justice in relation to sport tribunals as “giving the accused person protection by asserting that: * The person accused of misconduct should know the nature of the accusation made; * The person should be given the opportunity to state his or her case; and * The tribunal should act in good faith.” To further examine the natural justice process I will go into further detail of each of the above factors in relation to sporting tribunals. Notification of Accusation Once an organisation or association feels that there has been a breach of the rule or by-laws in which an individual is involved they must notify the accused in the correct manner to ensure procedure is adhered to with respect to natural justice. The Australian sports commission website (aussport.gov.au) gives an outline on the correct procedure for notifying the accused as follows: * “The person accused should receive written notice clearly outlining the allegation/s in sufficient detail so as to allow the person to properly prepare and respond. The notification should outline the...

Pricing- Case Study- Ozone Generators

...Life cycle cost comparison: Primozone GM192 vs. Ozonia CFV15 A guide of how to create value for your customer. Course: ISM 13 Module 3 Pricing Authors: Blume, Anna 900711 Collu, Giulia 850511 Tutor & Examiner: Hand in date: 1 Caesar, Peter 15-01-15 Primozone Abstract This paper is aimed at providing a comparison of the total cost of owner ship (TCO) of two comparable products through the tool of a lifecycle cost analysis (LCCA). The compared products are ozone generators from Primozone and Ozonia. Firstly the importance of pricing is presented followed by the discussion of the four most common pricing approaches and the best pricing method according to literature to achieve high margins is introduced. The described topics will be explained in detail in the theoretical framework followed by a comprehensive description of how value based pricing can be put into practice through economic value analysis and quantification and be therefore used as sales arguments based on the LCCA presented in Appendix A. The parameters for the LCCA were chosen with the help of the head of sales of Primozone, Jürgen Bischhaus. The collected data are presented in Chapter 4 and implemented into the excel spreadsheet in Appendix A. Several changing parameter scenarios were applied with the result that Primozone outperforms Ozonia in each of them except energy consumption, which are marginally higher, but not significantly. This also results in the ability...

Psycho-Educational Assessment

...Psycho-Educational Assessment: Principles and Practices Name Institution Psycho-Educational Assessment: Principles and Practices Question A The key objectives of psychological assessment for Jimmy based on the assessment process entail testing using different techniques. This will help in arriving at a hypothesis concerning Jimmy’s behavior. The assessment process for Jimmy may entail conducting of a norm-referenced test. This is a standardized psychological test, which is a task that is conducted under standard conditions. This is a key objective in Jimmy’s assessment process because it will help assess some aspects of Jimmy’s knowledge, personality, or skills. The norm-referenced psychological test is standardized on a defined group, which is known as the norm group. This is scaled to ensure that every person’s score reflects a rank in the norm group (Andrews, Janzen, & Saklofske, 2001, p. 51). The norm-referenced test will be essential for Jimmy’s assessment process because it assesses areas such as intelligence, visual motor skills, and adaptive behavior. Interviews may also be conducted during the assessment process because they help in obtaining valuable information. An examination of Jimmy’s case shows that different individuals will be involved during the process. For example, Jimmy’s parents, his teachers, and other people familiar with him like his grandmother may be interviewed (Andrews, Janzen & Saklofske, 2001, p. 59). The other objective of the...

Greek and Roman Concepts of Citizenship and Government

...Greek and Roman Concepts of Citizenship and Government Joe Wickenden, Sarah Dowling, Ginger Snyder, Leone Hansen HIS/341 October 27, 2014 Joel Getz Greek and Roman Concepts of Citizenship and Government The definition of citizenship in Greek and Roman cultures can be described much differently than the current democratic definition of contemporary nations. The Roman Empire differed from the Athenian Amphictyony and the Assyrian Empire as well as the sunder later emperors such as Vespasian. There were also structural problems within the government of the Roman Empire. This paper will explore the models of government and citizenship that Ancient Roman and Greek peoples employed along with how well they worked. Citizenship in ancient Rome was a privileged legal status granted only to un-slaved individuals with respect to laws, property, and governance (Jahnige, 2002). In the Roman Republic as well as later in the Empire, citizenship could be divided into several categories; a male Roman citizen, Roman women, Client state, Freedmen, and slaves; each having their own freedoms that came with their citizenship. Latin Rights were given by the Romans which was an intermediate between full Roman citizenship and non-citizenship's (2002). In other words, the Latin right was the ticket to obtaining full-fledged Roman citizenship. In the days of the Republic, those holding the Latin right had most of the liberties of citizens except the right to vote. Furthermore, only citizens could...
