For instance Amazon Web Services offers complete cloud solutions for anything from personal website and database solutions to full corporate solutions that range from simple storage solutions to user defined security groups. On the other hand, components provided by Cisco's Meraki division, offer complete network management as an easily accessible web based tool. ...The Impact of Social Media use on Academic Performance at one Urban University: A Pilot Study Sam Mozee, MPPA Mississippi Urban Research Center Abstract. The purpose of this study was to begin exploring the possible impact of social media use on the academic performance of students attending one urban university. The study's primary goal is to identify key themes, trends, and/or perceptions that can be used as a foundation for more in-depth empirical research, and can be used to develop policy recommendations to deal with this growing phenomenon. Findings from this study seem to confirm perceptions of high student usage of social media among college students; however, they also seem to contradict other research literature findings regarding intensity of usage and gender-usage inclinations. How the Internet Has Affected Society

...Introduction The Internet is the decisive technology of the Information Age, as the electrical engine was the vector of technological transformation of the Industrial Age. This global network of computer networks, largely based nowadays on platforms of wireless communication, provides ubiquitous capacity of multimodal, interactive communication in chosen time, transcending space. The Internet is not really a new technology: its ancestor, the Arpanet, was fist deployed in 1969 (Abbate 1999). But it was in the 1990s when it was privatized and released from the control of the U.S. Department of Commerce that it diffused around the world at extraordinary speed: in 1996 the first survey of Internet users counted about 40 million; in 2013 they are over 2.5 billion, with China accounting for the largest number of Internet users. What an utterly brilliant question! “How can I help you?” “ What can I do for you?” “Is there some way I can be of service to you?” “ What is it that I can do to help you achieve your objectives?” Theoretically, you could read that last paragraph, study it, let it penetrate into the deepest crevices of your mind, then move on to Chapter 3 because you’ve just captured the essence of good, solid business networking! That’s right — the secret to great networking lies in what you can do to help others! But now that you know this, don't skip ahead; in fact, don't skip anything. Why? You’d be surprised how many people still cling to the belief that networking is all about “connecting with others so they can help me find a job.” Unfortunately that’s not networking, that’s spamming a fellow human being. People who do this should put themselves in the role of the spamee and consider how it might feel if the roles were reversed. Let’s just think of it as the Golden Rule of Networking and to be an effective networker, it’s a rule you must follow. What it comes down to is this: You must discover what...
