It’s so easy to get access to the sites or video which advancements negativity when children go to this type Websites they doesn’t what they are watching but as per the time goes by they get so attached to character they does not like to talk with others and starts spending much more time alone. Windshield Survey Reflection

...Running Head: Windshield Survey Summary and Reflection Windshield Survey Summary and Reflection Leonard Larino University of Phoenix – Professor Bonnie Schoettle April 27, 2015 Windshield Survey Summary and Reflection Public health nursing involves a community and the overall health of the community. A community is a group within an area or region. These groups vary through various areas. According to Stanhope & Lancaster, they cited the World Health Organization’s definition of community as a group of people in a defined geographical area that share a common culture, values and norms, and are arranged in a social structure based on the community’s development over time. (Stanhope & Lancaster, p. 397, 2012). There are three factors in community: people, place and function. (Stanhope & Lancaster, p. 397, 2012). These three factors are what we as potential community health/public health nurses examine to develop a plan of care for the community. As community health nurses, the community is the client, with the focus being the collective and common good of the population; the individual patients we care for are now expanded into a whole populations benefit. (Stanhope & Lancaster, p. 398, 2012). Community health is collective needs being met and is done by identifying problems and managing behaviors in the community. (Stanhope & Lancaster, p. 401, 2012). Improving health can be achieved through community partnerships. This can be done by partnering...

Busyness

...this: “Hello friend, how are you?” There is a pause, the shoulders sag, and the universal answer is exhaled: “BUSY!” “Busyness” seems to be ubiquitous in urban life today. The pace of daily life is speeding up substantially. We rush back and forth between skyscrapers, with personal schedules fully occupied. According to some critics, busyness has become a significant insignia of so-called upper-middle-class status, which is due to one specific reason, that is, the pursuit of success. In their opinions, busyness doesn’t necessarily lead to success. People who are truly successful are not the kind of people who are always involved in busyness. On the contrary, many successful scientists, novelists, and designers appear to be childlike and distractible. Meanwhile, they also claim that many of the busiest people will never be successful, such as waitresses and telephone operators. However, I personally hold the opposite view that people who are always engaged are not all chasers of the gold medal. The enthusiasm and passion for their work and families is no doubt the strong driving force to devote themselves in the trivial yet meaningful everyday life. Moreover, what busy bees like me value the most is the sense of self-accomplishment busyness brings. When you’re busy, your mind is switched-on and you are constantly thinking, learning and developing. If you’re busy doing a number of different activities, such as learning a new skill, building a business, or even socializing,...

Mr. Ravioli Summary

...“Mr. Ravioli” Summary In “Bumping into Mr. Ravioli,” author Adam Gopnick, a New Yorker at the turn of the twenty first century, argues about how busy and hectic our lives as adults have become in today’s society through, ironically, the reflection of his child’s paracosm of adult relationships. He begins with detailing that Mr. Ravioli, Gopnik’s daughter’s imaginary friend, is already much too busy to play with her; the friend is always either at work or on the way to an prior planned engagement he almost always could not break. In an effort to mediate any, what seemed, to be a sign of trauma, Gopnik consults his sister, that had just been published in that specific study of children and their imaginary friend. She informed him repeatedly that this was a normal tendency of children and not any kind of trauma indicator. Gopnik goes on to try and find the root influence of the child’s friend. He realizes that it is a mere reflection through the eyes of a child of the relationships everyone part takes in today: her Paracosm. He begins to highlight how progression in technology may have entered us into the social network age; but we have strayed so far away from being social-able with how busy we have become progressing ourselves into the future. He also realizes that he is not too different from his daughter in that his relationships with his friends consist of the same faults he saw in Mr. Ravioli and his daughter’s relationship. He seemed to imply that all humans in today’s...

SUMMARY OF FACTS John Robertson, an employee of Carleton University, was on his way home from work and while leaving the Jensen parking lot on University Drive, turned right and was hit by a car at approximately 6:20 pm on January 16, 2017. Robertson has been the Executive assistant to the Chancellor at Carleton University for the past 9 years. His position involves mostly office/desk duties but he occasionally uses his own car to run errands during the day for the chancellor. He does not run errands very often, but he can go from not needing the car for 6 months to using his car twice a day, everyday, for a week. It was never known when he would need his car, so during busy times of year --mostly January through May-- he’d regularly drive his car to and from work. It was never explicitly asked by the Chancellor or others at Carleton University if Roberston could drive his car during busy times of the year, but...
