Problem Solution
Novice nurses are usually not confident enough to handle patients during their initial practice. They are not able to critically appraise and use scientifically proven evidence as a way of providing quality health services to patients. The main goal of evidence based practice on novice nurses is to impact informal knowledge and skills to new nurses. Novice nurses will gain the required competence skills as they continue training under the skilled physicians. Novice nurses will be accessed on regular basis to determine the EBP positive impact on their transition exercise. Therefore, the evidence based practice on novice nurses will provide best intervention for quality service delivery. The experienced physicians will play …show more content…
The health system is dedicated by providing continuous support to nurses through the chief nurse executive together with the nursing leadership team. Nurses are encouraged to critique the status quo of the existing practice, they are given free access to library resources and they are also provided with enough time to conduct their research. The problem solution strategies therefore, fit the health system culture and it will ease the implementation exercise. The staff experienced nurses will be empowered to use EBP as a way of improving their practice and safety of nursing care. The organization effort of empowering the experienced nurses will make it more effective for them to offer more to the novice …show more content…
The target population of 50 novice nurses and 10 experienced physicians will serve as the subjects for this study. This will help in determining whether there is any impact of EBP on novice nurses in their transition process. In order to achieve the valid expected outcomes, the novices nurses will be divided in two groups, one that is exposed to EBP and the other one that is not. This will help in finding out that novice nurses that are exposed to evidence based practice will report improved quality performance in their service delivery. The two groups will be subjected into different situations which will therefore lead to a clear understanding that evidence based practice plays an important role in the transition process of novice nurses.
