Unit 2 Analysis 1: Computer Shopper
Model | Laptop or Desktop | CPU Speed | RAM | HDD Space | Asus | Laptop | 2.16 Ghz | 4 GB | 500 GB | MacBook Air | Laptop | 1.4 Ghz | 4 GB | 128 GB | Acer Predator | Desktop | 3.4 GHz | 12 GB | 2 TB | HP Pavilion | Desktop | 3.1 | 8 GB | 2 TB |
Professional Gamer: A professional gamer needs hardware that is top end, so more than likely they will go with the Acer Predator since it has plenty of storage and memory to run games at a very high level. They also take pride in their equipment so they are willing to spend more money on these items.
Author: An author would need something portable to go anywhere they would want to go and still be able to write. They also wouldn’t need a very strong PC since they are just using it to write and not running any intense programs. They would most likely use either of the laptops listed above to do so.
Doctor: A doctor would use a desktop like the gamer, but they wouldn’t need the computing power because they are not running any intense software similar to the author. They would need extra space to keep patient data if need be so they would need a large HDD. Most likely going with the HP Pavilion.
Teacher: A teacher would more than likely have both of these types of computers but I would see a laptop being much more convenient. Being able to bring all of their grades around from classroom to classroom without bringing an entire desktop with them would be a life saver.
