Everyone has its own part in everything. Everyone has unique roles on the society. This is where responsibility comes in. Responsibility is our part to serve our own interests and the interests of others. No matter if the person has defect or something they lack in, he still has this important responsibility from the role given to him. It doesn’t matter if the person is not tall, smart enough, for there are responsibilities he can handle better than other people. All of us have responsibility to fill in. Responsibility has its boundary. The person must know his limitation on his part. There are specific role and task given to fill in the responsibility. But responsibility has also this part that the person must fill in at the satisfactory level. It must be enough, not too much and not too less. For example, everyone has its own responsibility in our family. I myself must fill in the role of being a son of my parents and a brother of my siblings. There are parts that I must not be involved like family issues and things that I won’t be responsible enough depending on my ability. Once a person does not reached the satisfaction level or the part he must fill in in his given responsibility, it leads to Blame. Responsibility is not just something you take, it is something that the person must do. In responsibility, trust is at stake. When someone holds you responsible for something, they trust you to do what you are supposed to. Once it is lost, they will never see you as a responsible individual. Responsibility is about trust. It is about task given and we take in to perform for the people who expect to do so. Responsibility is something that a person can learn from. It is something that develops a person into better

Responsibility

...According to the dictionary, the definition for responsibility is, a state or fact of having a duty to deal with, the state or fact of being accountable or to blame for something, and the opportunity or ability to act independently and make decisions without authorization. Personal responsibility is crucial to team building and collaborative success. When one takes personal responsibility, they are admitting their responsibility for choices made. While not everyone’s commitments are the same, personal responsibility is a requirement when working in a team. In order to succeed, the team needs positive communication, commitment, and accountability. The first, most important requirement, when working in a team is positive communication. Having open communication, by sharing ideas and confirming tasks with positive feedback, fosters healthy communication. Also, it’s always a smart idea to make sure there is a clear understanding of everyone’s position on a team, that way everyone is on the “same page”. Lastly, respecting one another is crucial in supporting positive communication. Making a commitment to ones self or something, let alone a team, can be extremely difficult at times. One way of showing respect and commitment is to always be on time, and being prepared. Also, let it be known to the team that, availability will not be an issue, and whatever it takes to get the job done, will be done. Taking ownership gives a team relief in knowing the job will get done and will alleviate...

...Educational Success Through Personal Responsibility Educational Success Through Personal Responsibility Personal responsibility encompasses everything that makes us who we are, what allows us to succeed throughout our lives. To me, personal responsibility is critical because to know its definition is to be a pro-active human being willing to stay focused on themselves and their overall goals, especially when it comes to a college education. Achieving educational success is vital in that it allows us to be taken more seriously in the real world; it’s common knowledge that a majority of people won’t be hired into or attain well paying employment unless they have at least a Bachelors degree from an accredited university. The link between personal responsibility and college success is a clear one, without focus and self-discipline then it would be impossible for someone to succeed in school. A person has to want to be in college, they need an affinitive reason for pursuing their degree, or else their personal responsibility will prove to be considerably low. Before anything else, it’s important for people to know who they are inside and out, to be comfortable and happy in their own skin. According to respected professor D.R. Garrison, self-monitoring is synonymous with personal responsibility to construct meaning. He states “to be responsible for one's own learning necessitates a willingness and ability to self-monitor the learning process” (Garrison, 1997). The value of...

Personal Responsibility Essay

...Sasha Rosenberg Gen 200 Personal Responsibility Essay Personal responsibility is when a person holds himself/herself accountable for their actions. It is so easy to blame others for the decision that one makes. When one maturely deals with their actions and consequences, whether it involves work, school, family, friends, etc that is personal responsibility. How many times have we heard both children and adults say, “It wasn’t me! ”? Especially when there is a big group, fingers are always pointing at someone instead of the one at fault taking responsibility. Their are several actions educators can take that will help them handle mistakes in ways that will be to their advantage in the long term, including admitting errors and talking about a problem (Glenn, 1999) . Admitting responsibility shows maturity. Every person has the opportunity to make his or her own choices. It is important to make a choice that one feels is the best for him or her. We tend to make excuses for our behaviors, which is the worst approach one can take. Sometimes people tend to let other people influence their choices, which is not always the best. Personal Responsibility

...Personal Responsibility Although there are many things needed to succeed in college, personal responsibility is one of the most important ones. Personal responsibility means to be held accountable for a person’s own actions. The outcome of an individual’s decisions, whether good or bad, is solely his or her responsibility. Once a person accepts this, the accomplishment of goals previously set becomes easier to achieve. The Sequence of Personal Responsibility tells how when it comes to personal responsibility, not only do we have to willingly accept how important the standards established by society are, we also need to ensure we try our hardest to live by those standards. Additionally, when we fail to meet these standards, we can’t blame everyone or everything else for our failure (Haskins, 2009). Success in college will depend on, among other things, the person’s acceptance of personal responsibility. Students are given the proper tools to succeed. The end result will be in the individual’s hands. This is where a strong sense of personal responsibility will come in to play. There are many factors that will lead a person to succeed in college. Finding out what motivates the person is one. It can be the fact that the person wants a better job, or maybe the person likes their job but wants a promotion along with better pay. Another reason can be that one is seeking self improvement by obtaining a college degree, seeking a higher degree, or finishing a previously started degree...

...Accepting Personal Responsibility for my Education GEN/200 November 11, 2013 Accepting Personal Responsibility for my Education Success is built on courage, hard work, and personal responsibility. Far too often failure is blamed on outside influences whereas the true answer lies within oneself. My success as a University of Phoenix (UOPX) student is my personal responsibility and I realize that I need to manage my time more efficiently as well as become more organized in my personal life to become a successful student. “Personal Responsibility is the quality or state of being accountable, an obligation or willingness to accept responsibility or account for ones actions.” (Merriam-Webster Dictionary, 2013). I must take responsibility for my work, my family, and my education to be lucrative and successful in my degree program. I will have to create a plan to create a balance of these important parts of my life. This will have a great deal to do with getting my priorities in order. I need to take inventory of the important things in my life (my husband, my children, my grandson, my business, and my undergraduate degree) and learn how to let some of the not so important things go if necessary. Although it has been a top priority in the past always to attend every event my children have been involved in I realize that with them being adults now they will be able to understand if I have to miss a minor event from time to time in order to accomplish finishing an assignment...
