Introduction
This essay is about Ouroboros .i will be researching multiple various cultures that I’ll be searching into trying to find its relevance for today’s age and the impact it has on todays stone carving culture.

What is Ouroboros?
The Ouroboros is a greek work for tail devourer and is one of the oldest mystical symbols in the world. This symbolises the cyclic nature of the universe; creation out of destruction, life out of death.
It unites opposite; the conscious mind.

What does Ouroborus Mean?

On this page I have tried to include some information about the history and my understanding of the meaning of the ouroboros
The circular natured form represents death and life of each life born.
The head of the serpent symbolises life and the rear end of the body represents the end of life.
In some cultures and belief structures the ouroboros a symbolisation for the solar eclipse.
The Ouroboros history has a wide variety of cultures using its symbol throughout most of the world. In certain cultures such as the Middle Eastern Cultures where there god Mithra was sometimes believed to have been reborn and shown to have the ouroboros around his waist wrapping around the whole body.

In other culture the ouroboros symbol has been known to symbolise a cycle of the renewal of life and represents infinity meaning that the life is everlasting and never ends which is a cycle of life, death and then rebirth that is ongoing bringing …show more content…
The ouroboros symbol has a mathematical symbol for infinity and may well be obtained from the classic alternative form with the snake wrapping around once before eating its own tail, in other variations of it is wrapping around twice as a snake eating its own tail.
The ouroboros has been very important in not only mythological symbolism but also in religious symbolism and has repetitively been used in alchemical sketches and drawings where it represents a circular form and shape of the alchemist’s opus. The ouroboros can also in cases represent instinctive unity and joining as a whole and has great historic significance and its impact it gives and characteristicsit lays can not be destroyed.
The ouroboros can be a variation of snake, worm, serpent or a dragon biting or eating its own tail and is quite constantly associated with Gnosticism and Hermeticism.
The symbol is a representation of a large number of wide ranging ideas such as carrying on history through time and the self-quality of nature and the reincarnation of the
