Marketing

...Bette Smith's marketing plan is about a Chiropractic Center in Fremont, Nebraska. The plan outlines market analysis, recommendations, strategies and evaluation controls to establish Chiropractic business for the client. The plan submitted is poor in nature and has some specific problems and improvements in the designated marketing strategy areas. Lot of sections mismatched or misplaced and there are many problems in the case analysis. We have identified seven areas and recommendations provided that will improve the case analysis drastically. Those areas include Executive Summary, Situation Analysis, SWOT Analysis, Marketing Goals and Objectives, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Implementation, Evaluation and Control. Executive summary is a summarized version of overall marketing plan and should contain an effective paragraph about goals/objectives, strategy elements, implementation issues and expected outcomes. The current executive summary has only background of the firm and an Introduction. Even if the marketing plan is excellent, without a proper and concise executive summary the plan will fail to catch the attention of target executive audience. First recommendation is to rewrite the whole executive summary section. Situation Analysis is the analysis of three components Internal environment, External environment and Customer environment. This 3 prong analysis will explain about the firm's goals, strategies, objectives and how these are going to be achieved keeping in...

...one purpose only: to help an organization do a better job - to focus its energy, to ensure that members of the organization are working toward the same goals, to assess and adjust the organization's direction in response to a changing environment. In short, strategic planning is a disciplined effort to produce fundamental decisions and actions that shape and guide what an organization is, what it does, and why it does it, with a focus on the future. (Adapted from Bryson's Strategic Planning in Public and Nonprofit Organizations). A word by word dissection of this definition provides the key elements that underlie the meaning and success of a strategic planning process: The process is strategic because it involves preparing the best way to respond to the circumstances of the organization's environment, whether or not its circumstances are known in advance; nonprofits often must respond to dynamic and even hostile environments. Being strategic, then, means being clearr bout the organization's objectives, being aware of the organization's resources, and incorporating both into being consciously responsive to a dynamic environment.  The process is about planning because it involves intentionally setting goals (i.e., choosing a desired future) and developing an approach to achieving those goals.  The process is disciplined in that it calls for a certain order and pattern to keep it focused and productive. The process raises a sequence of questions that helps planners examine experience...

Social Media Tools

...Corliss Introduction Imagine twenty years ago, before MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, how were companies able to communicate messages to their customers and clients? It was much more difficult to be able to deliver the intended message to the targeted group. Companies had to rely on television, snail mail, pop-up advertisements online, and/or magazine advertisements not being able to guarantee that their advertisements were being communicated to the correct targeted group. Now, social media has given companies the ability to be able to communicate their social media to their target group based on the information they provide through the click of the mouse. Facebook has allowed companies to be able to target customers and clients simply by the business the user is currently at and checking-in to. By checking-in to the business, Facebook feeds this information to businesses that relate, and could be of interest to the user. Social media allows the right information to reach the right group being able to guarantee to companies that the customers and clients will receive the message. As with any business, social media faces ethical issues as well such as security concerns, credibility, and maintaining a reputation. Social Media Tools How can new social media tools be used to distribute messages to consumers and clients? Media tools like Facebook twitter and LinkedIn can be used to send messages from companies to consumers who sign up for them. Companies have the ability to send...

Planning the Needs of Other Organizations

...factors that Benefast partners should consider for its HRIS system. The success factors that Benefast partners should consider for its HRIS system is more reliant on the Planning, and successful planning is critically depending on comprehensive needs analysis, so these two stages through the HRIS system would be the critical success factors. Planning can be divided into long-range and short range operational planning. Long range planning for an HRIS examines the big picture of an organization’s HR function and its information needs in light of its overall business strategy (Kavanagh & Thite 2009p.83). Benefast partners should consider this because when considering long-range planning looks beyond the present usually focusing on needs in the future. One of the critical concepts was the phase containment. That is, organizations should identify problems as early as possible in the life cycle of a system and importantly, deal with those problems at that time rather than allowing the problems to continue, possibly leading to greater more costly rework and modification later (Kavanagh & Thite 2009p.84). This phase containment is a principle that would bring success to Benefast. The Short range planning typically involves a needs analysis of the organization, but with a much more immediate focus. Originally the long range plan will identify a list of priorities or priority system and projects for the future which will make Benefast partners organization more influential. It sets budgets...
