Oxygenation Simulation Reflection
During the oxygen simulation, the client had difficulty breathing. We focused our assessment on client’s oxygen saturation, respiration rate and depth, and lung sounds. The following assessments were used during the simulation to make the proper intervention for the client. There is no unnecessary assessment done because the intervention we did for our client had to help her breathe better and her SpO2 came back to normal range. Our follow-up assessments would be to monitor the vital signs, especially the SpO2, and do a thorough head to toe assessment to make sure that everything is normal for the patient. Check for the side effects of the medication and oxygen administration such having a dry mucosa or nosebleed.
