...Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire Lies and secrets seem to surround the entire animal farm. There are liars, backstabbing animals, and loyal advisors who don't turn out to be too loyal. Propaganda seems to control every animal's mind, making them believe in, let's be honest, nonsense in general. Two animals in particular seem to use dishonest information to cover up the horrible events and mistakes that had happened. Slaughtering and bloodshed soak the farm's grass. All the wars and battles happen for a reason, and that reason all started when Napoleon and Squealer started "brainwashing" every animal one at a time. Napoleon is the ultimate leader, who happens to be a large pig. His most faithful, dependable, and loyal advisor is Squealer. When you put the two of them together, it's mass destruction. For example, whenever there is an announcement or meeting , Squealer always lies to all of the farm animals to make them believe that Napoleon is the best leader of all time. Squealer does these actions in order to show loyalty to Napoleon, as well as to make each and every animal side with Napoleon and himself. He delivers false information to hide the true...

...Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire Everyone hates lies, but everyone lies. It sounds ironic, yet it is the truth. This is one of the most detestable vices in people. Some people may distinguish between ‘white’ lies and outright blatant lies, however, in my opinion, such a distinction is flawed, even flattery is a lie. In other words, lying is a mere deception for some gains. Lying is never holy, whether it is for other’s own good or one’s own selfish intention. If the truth comes to light, the person who has been deceived will feel cheated and hurt, thus will lose trust on that person once and for all. He who once deceived is ever suspected. Sometimes, the truth may be painful, it would be better to let it be reveled than to lie about to delude someone. Besides, a blister will rise upon one’s tongue that tells a lie. This reminds me of the story of “The Wolf and the Farmer Boy”. The farmer boy has lied to the villagers several times that a wolf has appeared. One day, a wolf really came and the farmer boy cried for help, yet the villagers ignored him because they thought it was another trick of his. In the end, all his sheep were eaten by the wolf. “a liar is not believed when he speaks the truth” is the most suitable proverb to define those who often lie. Nobody will ever believe in liars nor want to befriend with liars! One lie makes many, and I agree too. Walter Scott once quoted, “Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive!” A liar can go around...

...Liar Liar Pants on Fire Do I know who I am voting for? Do I feel as though the presidential candidates have blatantly lied to me, as well as the American people? These are just a few questions voters can ask themselves during the upcoming presidential election. Like many candidates before them, Mitt Romney and Barrack Obama are lying to voters just to get into office. Promises such as tax cuts, health care, and other hot topics, are the main issues being lied about. Politicians believe that if they tell you what you want to hear they will be sitting in the oval office sooner rather than later. History shows that a majority of promises presidential candidates make to voters are rarely brought with them into office. This year’s presidential candidates are Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, and current President, Barrack Obama. Mitt Romney has been accused of being one of the biggest liars to ever run for president. Multiple websites are dedicated to recording and analyzing all of the lies Mitt has told during this upcoming election. Like Mitt Romney, Barrack Obama has the same sort of websites. All of these sites are typically run by organizations who oppose the candidate being criticized. Although there are many lies that both candidates have told, there a few that stick out most. To begin, President Barrack Obama told several lies during a “60 minutes” interview on September 12, 2012. “ We have actually seen the federal government grow at a slower pace than...

...of 2001, sales figures had drastically increased due to one product line, Tiger Pants. The increase of sales of Tiger Pants can be directly linked to the rise of a new band, Punk Rock Academy, was seen wearing them on MTV. With the increase of product sales there was also an increase in product selling cost through bonus clothes programs. The bonus clothes programs rewarded stores by increasing their sales ($10,000 in 2000 & $75,000 in 2002), and also gave free clothing to celebrities ($9,000 in 2000 & $35,000 in 2001). These drastic differences in the bonus clothes programs gave rise to other executive managers to question the marketing strategies of the company. One of the major problems Atomic Company is now facing is to forecast their sales for the remainder of 2002. In 2000 they brought in $600,000 in sales, $6,690,000 in 2001, and $5,680,000 in the first 3 weeks of 2002. The company needs an accurate sales forecast not only because expenditure orders are more costly but also because with a firm annual sales figure could get a 20% discount on production. As previously stated the success from the past few quarters can be contributed to the success of Punk Rock Academy wearing Tiger Pants they had modified. This is unfortunate to Atomic Company, because not only are the sales “fad” sales, they are also not sales to the consumers they were originally targeting, nor their original Tiger Pants style. Due to this it is not likely that these sales numbers will continue. Usually...

...I was walking to my car when I noticed my pants were on fire. I turned to my friend and said, "I think were going to need an oven and fast." He grabbed me with his soggy fingers and said.. "Snap out of it, Man." Then he proceeded to chant and walk in circles around me. I looked down, My pants were still on fire, but by this time it had spread to my Uterus and three other ligaments. I was getting pretty agitated that no one seemed to care about my third degree burns, or my soon imminent death, but I went along with his plan still hoping he'd manage to save me through his voo-doo witchcraft. After I came out of my trance from the fire I noticed that I was now in the kitchen of my grandma's house baking a cake.. I Screamed "WHAT THE F***?" My Grandma ran in and slapped the s*** outta me for cursing. Then she proceeded to say, "I swear if you talk like that 5 more times, I'll beat the living s*** outta you." I was quite confused as to what was going on and what I did to deserve this true life mad lib. I just stood there in silence with a look of uttermost confusion.. and I starred at the women who had once been a kind sweet old lady, who wouldn't even kill a baby piglet, now turned into this vicious beast of a monster with veins protruding from her neck like a porcupines quills on a midsummer day. She gasped, and then with the blink of an eye turned back into the sweet old lady I had once known. "Would you like some cookies, dear?" "Ummm Yes, grandma." As she...

...there are two main arguments presented in the articles to ban saggy pants: 1) wearing this style of clothing causes a person to have an unprofessional attitude, which results in the lack of interest to become educated, and 2) wearing saggy pants might cause health problems. In my mind, the arguments lacked evidence such as studies, statistics, or concrete proof that wearing saggy pants is behind either issue; these accusations need more credibility before I could be convinced that saggy pants should be banned. From time to time we read about court cases where activists argue to legalize public nudity, so I think a person could certainly make a case that nudity is a form of free speech. Most often the nude activists argue that their first amendment rights are being violated, and that public nudity is a form of expression. Courts generally agree that public nudity does not violate first amendment rights, which was illustrated in San Francisco in 2013 when a lawsuit was against the city was dismissed (Dotinga, 2013). How “expression” is defined seems to be the point of debate. It could be argued that laws which prohibit people from wearing only underwear in public would be unconstitutional, but a form of regulation should be in place which defines proper dress codes. If I owned an indoor play gym for children, I would not want adults wearing underwear and walking around in the facility. However, if I was at a public swimming pool and someone was wearing a speedo or bikini...

...Once Umar is on the plane, he pretends to have some stomach problems to excuses any odd behaviors while on the plane. Umar covers himself up completely with a blanket provided by an attendant, and begins his attack. Umar uses the syringe to spray acid onto the bomb to create a chemical reaction to cause the bomb to explode without raising any alarms with the plane’s passengers. But not everything goes according to plan, as Umar’s bomb only causes a very small explosion and sets himself on fire. This malfunction occurred due to him wearing the bomb in his underwear, the bomb lost its effectiveness due to all of the moisture in Umar’s pants. Passengers spring into action once they see the fire, they remove Umar’s pants and extinguish the flames along with the failed bomb to make sure it does not explode. Umar became quiet and cooperative as he was arrested, knowing he has failed. The TSA failed to find anything on Umar while he passed through all of their checkpoints, with a bomb in his pants and acid. The TSA would have let another attack by a terrorist...

The Tippman A5 an extremely versatile mid range package for any serious player. One of the most popular Tippmann paintball markers for scenario players. Our 3rd best is the Dye Proto Rail MaXXed. While the Dye Proto Rail might be on the higher end of the price scale for most entry level players, it's a great option for those looking to upgrade to a high end gun but still not break the bank. The 14 inch barrel shoots straight and it can fire 15 balls per second, and rarely chops paint. Everything about this high end marker screams quality.he Proto Rail Maxxed comes equipped with an e-trigger right out of the box, which means by using an electronic circuit to power the autococker firing mechanism, you save a lot of air over the course of several games. It also means reduced recoil, a quieter gun gun overall and tighter...

...BSM304 Role Play #2 Ken Litwak 8/22/14 City University of Seattle Abstract I am the chief of a fire company that has an opening for a top notch fire fighter. I am interviewing 3 candidates who are all similarly qualified. I know personally one of the candidates, his family and how the family worked to pay for his schooling. This candidate’s father has asked me to hire his son. I have asked the assistant fire chief to conduct a second interview with he and I well prepared to differentiate the similar candidates. The second interview session was telling. The candidate’s dress, attitude, community involvement, variety of experience and even additional skills made one candidate stand out above the others as excellent. All 3 would have made a good choice and I was comfortable hiring any 1 of them but the second interview revealed that a particular candidate was clearly the best. I conducted additional research about differentiating similar candidates to help make my decision. BSM304 Role Play #2 I am the chief of a fire department. I need to hire one top notch fire fighter as soon as possible. I have three applicants who have made it through the initial screening process and into the interview stage. One of these applicant’s is known to me personally and I am acquainted with the applicant’s family who live next door to the fire station. I have personally witnessed this applicant’s parents working overtime and part-time jobs to pay for his schooling. The...

... Plants and trees need climate, soil, and disturbances. One disturbances that grassland and prairies are dependent on is fire. Fire helps get rid of old grass and bring back fresh grass in its wake. It also gets out unwanted things such as red cedars who are fire intolerant. Even though the disturbances are a needed thing for plant life, there is positives and negatives to them. Having too much of a disturbance and not enough it can both benefit some species and hurt others depending on what you are wanting. When you over fire landscapes you keep the grass short driving species away who prefer a higher grassland. Those who prefer the short grass will thrive in this environment. The same goes for the grassland that doesn’t see a lot fire has tall grass and some trees, it works for those who seek taller grass rather those who do not. Fire is not the only disturbances in the prairies, there is also wind bines,...

...John Adams was defending the British soldiers in the trial. The trial lasted for 7 days with 80 witnesses testifying. Witnesses described the insults and objects that they were throwing at the soldiers. According to the video that we watched in class the first witness that was brought up was Mr. Goddard. He said that Captain Preston was standing behind his men and ordered them to fire. Goddard also mentioned that they were throwing snowball when the lawyer of the colonists asked what were they throwing. Later came the testimony of Mr. Palms. He said that he was close to Preston and exchanged words with him. Palm asked Preston if he had any intention to fire. Preston said no because that would be idiotic since he was standing in front of his...
