The duty of care outlines how services and professionals should ensure the safety and well-being of children and students and protect them from harm and mistreatment. Both Persons Conducting a Business or Undertaking (PCBU) and the workers are responsible for the students and families they serve. The PCBUs must have policies and procedures influenced by the NQS to guide their workers when providing support and care for the children while maintaining professional boundaries. They also have a duty of care towards their employees to ensure their health and safety. Educators, teachers, and support professionals also have a duty of care towards the children they care for and the PCBU they serve. Here are some of the requirements on how to maintain
