Introduction

Pediculosis is a common disease known as lice. It is an infestation of tiny insects on the scalp. It not only can affect the scalp, but any part of the body with hair. These tiny insects feed of blood which will eventually procreate tiny eggs that hatch and repeat the cycle. The symptoms include intense itchiness. Any person can receive the infection from direct contact with someone already contaminated with it. It is important to be aware and know what to look for in order to avoid Pediculosis.

People with thick hair will have a harder time than those with thin hair. It is always best to double check and make sure all the insects are dead. The best way to do this is applying heat to your hair. The heat will kill the lice and cause a sizzling sound when the eggs are burned. It is normal to have at least been infested with head lice at least once in your life. It is very avoidable, but sometimes it happens out of nowhere. One person who never thought she would have head lice is Heidi Klum. A supermodel who is always doing her hair and getting it treated was said to have had this disease. Her younger daughter was sent home one day when the school nurse addressed she had head lice. Their home was infested and the family got it. Because of her connections the head lice was easily treated on her and her family.

Conclusion Pediculosis is a common disease that many people have had. It has numerous symptoms that are not pleasant, but can easily be treated. Since it is very common there are dozens of ways to cure it. When one is diagnosed with pediculosis it is best to inform your doctor to reassure your assumptions.
