My Experience at Mary Queen of Peace School

My knowledge has grown tremendously at Mary Queen of Peace School. In first Grade, I learned basic grammar and spelling. In Second Grade, my pencil stayed on the paper continually as I wrote in cursive for the first time. It was very exciting and I loved being able to write faster and therefore get assignments done quicker. Math was hard and challenging because each day the class had to complete 100 math problems in a certain amount of time. When third grade arrived, it was on to book reports and short stories in literature. One book report each month was required and I got the choice of presenting my report with a shoebox presentation or poster. There were lots of interesting books I explored and a lot of unique topics I was discovering. Fourth Grade contained more homework, but I got through it. At …show more content…
Fifth Grade was the year of switching classes. This was fun because I got a locker to store my books. Mrs. Harris was a great teacher that I had lots of fun with. She was skilled at teaching science. Sixth grade encompassed more writing. Writing was an important skill for me to learn because communicating on paper is just as important as talking. Seventh grade was truly challenging. Mr. Westerman was an interesting teacher and his class was difficult. He gave out lots of work and projects that required research. This prepared me for the years ahead, developing my writing, knowledge, and research to a higher level than ever before. Mr. Westerman was one of my most influential teachers. Eighth grade is the climax of my journey here at Mary Queen of Peace. In this time of my life I am gaining knowledge about my favorite subject: science. Math is also an interesting topic. I believe
