...Professional Development Plan Kate Bethea LDR/531 June 22, 2015 Dr. Dave Aiken Professional Development Plan Management develops a plan that will address the characteristics of their team. With this plan, management can better lead their team by using each's personality characteristics. If such plans are used effectively, they can also determine a team's strengths, weaknesses, their skills, any improvement areas, and to help members of the team reach professional goals. Throughout this essay, such a plan will be developed to for "Learning Team D” and address the team member designated as manager. DISC Assessment In week, one of organizational leadership each member of “Learning Team D” completed the DISC Platinum rule. The DISC Platinum rule is a behavioral style assessment that breaks down an individual’s predominate behavior styles; dominate, interactive, steadiness, and cautious. There are sixteen sub-styles that further attempt to explain the results. "Learning Team D" is comprised of three members, and not one of them has the same style. One of the team members predominate style is dominated, one member style is cautious, and the third member is steadiness. Those who have the dominate style are driven self-starters who are fast-paced, goal oriented, decisive in their actions and decisions, and are more at ease when they have freedom to manage themselves and others. A cautious style is slower-paced and task-focused, they are cautious in their decisions and actions...

...Advertising Plan In creating an adverting plan for a new type of service like The Auto Zone Mobile Mechanic will be a time consuming endeavor. Once we have this product designed and ready for use we will need to develop an appropriate adverting plan to reach potential users of this product. The advertising plan for the Auto Zone Mobile Mechanic will set the tone for the product’s introduction to the consumer. It will also set a goal for the advertising plan for over a six month period to a year before we will need to reevaluate this advertising plan and maybe come up with a different concept that will promote and sell this product to the consumers. We will need to have strong leadership that will lead to and facilitate a coordinated and effective advertising plan this includes feedback from the support staff and also from a trial panel that needs to be set up to evaluate this product, where before the launch any bugs can be worked out of this product. By setting up a trial panel of consumers, and staff that would be interested in using this product we will be able to efficiently evaluate any problems or bugs that may be in the software prior to the release of this product to the open market. The first step in creating an advertising plan for this new product prior to the release to the open market is setting our sales goals and having an adverting budget. We need to obtain a break-even and profit projection from the accounting department (Greene, F. 2014). This will involve...

...Professional Development Plan Stephanie Ledford LDR/531 January 18, 2016 VICTOR RAYNERI Professional Development Plan As each class starts, each person in the class is assigned to a learning team. Each week the team could be assigned a weekly project. This could be a difficult chore in the beginning since no one in familiar with each other. Each person has their own personality and ways to do projects, which could be very different from their other teammates. My objective is to complete a professional development plan that will help us work as a team and work towards a common goal. An individual or a team uses a professional development plan so that they have set goals and strategies to achieve the same goal at the end of the period (Multiprofessional Faculty Development, 2012). To help me develop this plan each team member has been asked to take the DISC Assessment. DISC is a personal assessment used to determine behavior types, and how to interpret the behavior (DiSC Profile, n.d.). The DISC assessment has four styles it uses as a determination. They are Cautious (C Style), dominance (D Style), interactive (I Style) and steadiness (S Style). A cautious person is detail orientated, a slow worker and has very high expectations for themselves. A person who is dominance is very goal orientated, need control and must achieve their goals. A interactive person is very enthusiastic, must have acknowledgment and has great people skills. A person who is determined...

...Abstract Facebook.com, a popular online social network site, provides its users with a means for representing their identities in the digital world.[1] With the “Profile,” each user can manipulate his or her online identity that concurrently delineates personal information and converses with other online identities or “Friends.” Gender, date of birth, hobbies, interests, and relationship status are some of the identifying pieces of information that users display to fill out their Profile. The Profile not only depicts the user, but also shapes the representation of other individuals on Facebook. Scholars have recently begun to study the Facebook phenomenon using surveys and statistical analyses, but none have used ethnography as a means for analysis. This paper draws upon ethnographic data to provide a phenomenological explanation to the Facebook experience. It argues that the digital world is a large part of the experience of young Americans and that the Internet is more social than commonly thought.[2] Moreover, this paper problematizes the static nature of the Profile, arguing that the Profile converses directly with others’ Profiles in a constantly changing digital context that is simultaneously recreated and interpreted. Introduction Embodied conversation between individuals begins when they weave performance and interpretation into an intricate dance that allows individuals to consider voice and body cues. Meaning is interpreted from the context of the conversation...

...not even take into account the additional faculty work that must be graded, evaluated, recorded, and passed back to the faculty. According to some surveys, during the course of just one school year, the average HR manager will have to handle more than ten thousand faculty papers. The educational reforms of the past twenty years have been blamed for placing an intolerable burden on HR managers and it is no wonder that this is cited as one of the main reasons for quitting. Record keeping and administration is often time-consuming and repetitive and many see it as detracting from the HR manager’s real purpose to manage. The fact remains however, that like other professionals, HR managers have to document progress, write plans, and keep accurate records, as well as keep up to date with educational policy not only in a single department but all throughout the school campus. There are informational requirements at various levels. The personnel from the administrative body want to know how well a school is performing and that can only be measured by gathering statistics. The HR department inspects and regulates different departments and colleges and shares the results with the public to allow the administrative body to make informed decisions. They also identify good practice in specific areas of provision in those departments and colleges that...

The main difference is that a secured loan will use an asset – usually your home – as security, whereas an unsecured loan is available to most people provided they have a decent credit rating and are in employment. A Personal loan is generally taken by borrowers who are looking for loans for quickly and with minimum documentation. In addition, since there is no monitoring of the end use, it gives flexibility to the borrower to use the loan for any purpose they like. A Personal Loan is taken by a borrower for his/her individual wants and needs; it is commonly referred to as an unsecured loan because there is no security/collateral against it. It is also called “All-purpose loan” at times as there is no...

...Social Networking Websites and Teens: An Overview by Amanda Lenhart and Mary Madden 55% of online teens have created a personal profile online, and 55% have used social networking sites like MySpace or Facebook. Washington-- More than half (55%) of all of online American youths ages 12-17 use online social networking sites, according to a new national survey of teenagers conducted by the Pew Internet & American Life Project. The survey also finds that older teens, particularly girls, are more likely to use these sites. A social networking site is an online place where a user can create a profile and build a personal network that connects him or her to other users. In the past five years, such sites have rocketed from a niche activity into a phenomenon that engages tens of millions of internet users. The growth in the popularity of these sites has generated concerns among some parents, school officials, and government leaders about the potential risks posed to young people when personal information is made available in such a public setting. The data memo, written by Senior Research Specialists Amanda Lenhart and Mary Madden, is based on a survey conducted by telephone from October 23 through November 19, 2006 among a national sample of 935 youths ages 12 to 17. The survey asked about the ways that...
