The first reason you should wrestle is because it builds character. If you ever watch a college wrestling match, they don’t brag, and if you have a conversation with a college wrestling they are usually very humble. Same goes for High school wrestlers, but college wrestlers have more character because they have wrestled longer. Dan Gable once said, “More enduringly than any other sport wrestling teaches self-control and pride. ...Juvenile Justice Persuasive Essay The juvenile justice system is a foundation in society that is granted certain powers and responsibilities. It faces several different tasks, among the most important is maintaining order and preserving constitutional rights. When a juvenile is arrested and charged with committing a crime there are many different factors that will come in to play during the course of his arrest, trial, conviction, sentencing, and rehabilitation process. This paper examines on why juveniles should be sentenced to life when they commit heinous crimes. The Supreme Court has ruled that they cannot sentence a juvenile to life in prison due to the fact that it violates the 8 Amendment’s ban on cruel and unusual punishment. But let’s take Lionel Tate as an example; at the age of twelve savagely beat to death a six-year-old girl, would the court release this ‘kid’ to society knowing what his background is? When he was put on trial at the age of fourteen and convicted as an adult of first-degree murder, he was supposedly imitating a world wrestling federation wrestler, which ended up killing his playmate. There is no reason for doing this is common sense and I do not agree on scientist saying that a teenager’s brain is not full developed; it is just a stupid conclusion. If that were to be the case at this point there would be a mass of teenagers in maximum security jails and sentenced to life in there. T.V. violence, families in poverty, and mis-teachings are just several of the many serious causes for bullying. Bullying must be stopped or prevented no matter how long it will take, it is a deeply concerning matter. Bullying does not always have to be childish play, it can be extremely violent. People may be bruised, injured, or even killed. Kids under bad influence may turn very violent. Parents, relatives, friends, T.V., music and pictures may all influence people, especially when they are depressed or are in a lowered state of mind. Violence on T.V. is a very big influence, particularly the wrestling and fighting shows. Also, T.V. shows are quite readily available for anyone to watch. Kids may try “moves” on people at school because they believe it’s cool. As well, cooperation from childrens’ parents is important, some parents actually encourage their children to fight to look cool or don’t teach them properly. Kids must take their own initiative, as well, they must find out what’s wrong and what’s right for themselves sometimes. Many kids don’t take bullying seriously. However, when a real incident occurs, they are unprepared, shocked, regretful, or dead.
