Task 3 I. Introduction A. There are organizations and managers who lack the knowledge of how to promote happiness on the job and improve employee satisfaction. B. There are three ways to improve employee satisfaction in the workplace. C. Research suggests that employee satisfaction in the workplace is improved by promoting team players, maintaining a recognition program and building engaged employees. II. Recognition is a very valuable in promoting employee satisfaction. D. Survey after survey shows that a lack of appreciation and recognition is a primary reason why people quit their jobs. Another survey by Robert Half lists “limited recognition and praise” as the number one reason employees leave. Smith, G(2001) E. When employees say that recognition is the most important thing they want from their organizations, they mention things like: Wiley, J (2011) * ‘‘Recognition and respect’’ * ‘‘A pat on the back, or some praise would be nice’’ * ‘‘I want to be respected and recognized as a valuable team member’’ III. A group of good team players creates a happy individual and promotes satisfaction in the workplace. F. Team efforts are not only supported, but also celebrated at the best companies. Coming together to reflect on the team’s efforts encourages team pride. Burchell, M (2010) G. The key to effective teamwork is to first recognize and identify who is on your team and then to develop the skills to utilize all team members to their full extent. Gordon, S. (2012) IV. Setting the tone for employees engagement provides a more structured, productive, and profitable organization. H. Engaged employees feel inspired by their work, they are customer focused in their approach, and they care about the future of the company and are prepared to invest their own effort to see that the organization succeeds. Cook, S. (2008) I. Employees who are engaged have found roles that satisfy their personal values, work style, and current life outside of work. Rice, C. (2012) V. Conclusion A. Research suggests that employee satisfaction in the workplace is improved by promoting team players, maintaining a recognition system and enforcing engaged employee. 1. Recognition is the best way to motivate employees. Some managers may think showing and giving recognition to the most productive employee is more deserving, but recognition should also be given to less productive employee’s to stimulate towards harder work habits. 2. Employees who work together as a team happens to be proud of their work outcome. Working together and knowing every individual is doing their part builds a high-quality workplace. “The whole point of a team is that the team’s, performance will exceed that of any individual in any group.”Gordon, S. (2012) 3. Employee engagement is not always implemented, but when done so promotes accomplishments and good performance. The key is to keep the employee involved along with rewards and recognition you are creating a successful workplace. Training is also a plus in employee engagement. Among many other factors job satisfaction can be produced by training employees and implementing engaged employees. 4. Satisfied employees are those who are rewarded, recognized, engaged and work well with others “teamwork”. Managers can improve their work environment by implementing these type of incentives along with many other job perks, such as flexibility, empowerment, and resources. These things are important companies to keep employees happy and reduce turnovers.

In the last issue we discussed how you, personally, can tell that you are ovulating using the Molimina Question, recording and analyzing your basal temperature using quantitative methods (called QBT), and possibly using the over-the counter fertility test detecting the mid-cycle luteinizing hormone (LH) peak. We will now look at the medical methods for diagnosis of ovulation. How can a doctor tell if I am ovulating? For some physicians, especially those who specialize in fertility management, all methods for detecting ovulation (short of doing an operation and observing the egg actually squirting out of the ovary-see figure) are indirect and therefore considered inferior. There are three different, indirect medical methods that are commonly used to diagnose ovulation and normal progesterone action: 1) a series of ultrasounds of the ovary across the mid-cycle; 2) a biopsy of the uterine lining about a week after expected ovulation to see if the cells show evidence for progesterone action; and 3) taking one or several measurements of estrogen and progesterone in blood or urine to see if they show the expected ovulatory levels and pattern. Drug abuse is the misuse of prescription drug or use of illicit drugs to an extent that adversely affects the individuals health(Collins & Lapsley, 2008)It is a relapsing condition that affects an individual, family and the society and impacts on the quality of life of the family, victims of the abuser and the abuser.(Harwood, Fountain, & Livermore, 1998).According to Califano,2008,drug abuse in one of the top five official government killers, with recorded 40 million suffering from disabling and debilitating illnesses and injuries and death of about 600,000 Americans . Rampant use of illicit drugs by Americans started in the second half of the 19th century during The Civil War. Illicit drugs include (but not limited) marijuana, cocaine, heroin, amphetamine, methamphetamine and illicit use of legal psychoactive medications.
