...07/09/2012 _____________________________________________________________________ Summary As we all know, the company offsite 2-day training session project is about ready to enter the execution phase. With that being said, there are many concerns regarding the history of project steering off track and inevitably going over budget, surpassing the expected timeline, under using resources, all resulting in not meeting overall expectations. To re-assure the successful completion of this project the management team is proposing to implement several tools and techniques. Reporting It is important for projects to complete successfully within the specified time and budget. One way to re-assure the timely completion is by reporting progress and completion of tasks. The project team has set a baseline and submitted it to the upper management for approval and review. Updates and informal reports will be disbursed accordingly as items are competed successfully. If any issues arise, whether planned or unplanned, reports will be sent out informing upper management of the issue along with a solution on solving it. Project change forms will be used if the issue requires additional resources or adjustments to the project scope. Project Quality Evaluation The project manager along with his team will evaluate the team performance as a whole during the completion of each project phase. The project team will define expectations, define problems and determine what is needed...

...ASSIGNMENT III SOFTWARE TESTING TOOL COMPARISION QTP, SELENIUM AND TESTINGWHIZ BY, S.Shahida Banu. 120071601087. COMPARING QTP, SELENIUM AND TESTINGWHIZ INTRODUCTION: When it comes to test automation tools for web application testing it is hard to choose between the available options in the market and the right alternative that offers best of the latest technologies from the market place at the right budget. Open source tools provide the benefit of low initial investment but, they’re not always the best alternative in the long run due to lack of official support & training. Commercial tools on the other hand are highly expensive to implement resulting in higher cost of failure should the right tool not be selected. Automation is a continuous process and it’s very important to have the basics right:- * Setting up the test environment * Screening the available tool options * Creating a Proof of Concept with a few sample test scenarios for the application * Preparing (automation) frameworks * Building libraries of functions & methods * Defining configuration parameters To help test managers and automation engineers choose the right alternative, we have prepared a comparison matrix between the three closest contenders that are highly rated by Test Managers and Automation Engineers alike. Here is a comparison between HP QTP with Selenium and TestingWhiz. QTP vs SELENIUM vs TESTINGWHIZ: Testing automation tools enable developers and testers...

...Management Decision Problem This back and forth process of to wait for one department to re-submit data so the main office can update their spread sheet can severely affect business in getting things done. This can delay the main office from delivering their monthly reports. Perhaps the main would still deliver their report on the first spread sheet it made, rather than waiting for the re-submission from the department so they could be on schedules. Having 78 million bags of pretzels, snack chips, and organic snack items to report data on each month is quite large, and to have to do a spread sheet on this is a very exhausting task. Yet to do one’s report/spreadsheet all over because one department’s information is not up to date is unacceptable. Thus it would be better to carry on with what one has in the current spread sheet, than waiting on the re-submission. Achieving Operational Excellence: Using Internet Tools to Budget for Shipping Costs The first problem I ran into is the fact that FedEx didn’t allow a package of 45lbs. so I had to ship two quantities of 20lbs which still didn’t add up to 45lbs. If the company on average ships 2 boxes then that means with FedEx I would be shipping 8 packages in a day. The delivery services offer’s various shipping time from overnight to 2day shipping. In every category UPS was cheaper than FedEx from priority to 2day shipping Ups had the advantage in a cheaper price. On the other hand USPS was the cheaper than both UPS and FedEx...

...From: Felix Pino CC: Richard Pierce Date: 4/27/2015 Re: Site Survey Benefits Dear Sir, It has come to my attention that we have not been allocated time and money to do a proper site survey. I feel this is a detrimental path for your new system. A site survey is the precursor to a successful wireless network implementation. Like with many things, upfront planning and documentation facilitates the smooth deployment of the new network. With a site survey an engineer completes the physical check and identifies the best locations for the wireless access points, then creates a site report. The throughput of the access points is then fine-tuned using specialized training of those doing the evaluation. The final report will include a hardware list, where to install the products, the configuration of the devices, and suggestions for antenna placement for each device. All of these things can and will save the company money in the long run. Some of the things that can go wrong without a proper site survey are not getting optimal performance from our new network, over purchasing of equipment or under purchasing of equipment, not getting full coverage inside the buildings, potential interference that you would not know about beforehand, unauthorized access to your network and so on and so forth There are three types of tools needed for a site survey, wireless tools, measurement tools, and documentation tools. Wireless tools are such things as access points; these may be required...

...automated quality reporting does not yet deliver on the promise of feasibility, validity and reliability of measures or the reduction in reporting burden placed on hospitals. Specific policy changes are needed, starting with Stage 2 Meaningful Use, to redirect the electronic clinical quality reporting requirements to focus on a small set of well-tested measures supported by a mature policy infrastructure that can guide valid and feasible measure development, testing and implementation. Background In the past 10 years, there has been an unprecedented expansion in the number and type of quality measures hospitals are required to report for federal programs. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR) and Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) programs are two of the drivers of this development. Currently, hospitals report nearly 90 measures across all hospital quality reporting programs, including hospital inpatient and outpatient reporting....

...three million reports of child abuse are made every year in the United States which can include multiple children. In 2009, approximately 3.3 million child abuse reports and allegations were made involving about six million children. This can lead to emotional and behavioral issues later in life. Child Help (2011) reports that abused children are more likely to experience teen pregnancy, use unprotected sex and Children who experience child abuse and neglect are 59% more likely to be arrested as a juvenile. These children are also 28% more likely to be arrested as an adult, and 30% more likely to commit some sort of violent crime (ChildHelp, 2011). Working with Girl Scouts in the community, there are many opportunities to assess for domestic violence, ans leaders should be taught on how to assess for violence, and what to do when violence is suspected. Using assessment tools for domestic violence are helpful but in the girl scouting community need to be approached sensitively. And the parent of the child needs to be spoken to in a private non-judgmental manner. The goal of assessing for abuse is to protect the girls and their families. If the mother is withdrawn and pulls away whenever domestic violence is mentioned, it may be better to report the suspicion to authorities. But if the parent seems ready to talk but unsure of how to proceed, utilizing the HITS assessment tool, and the abuse assessment screen will be valuable resources. The HITS assessment tool (FDHS, 2011)...

...Covenant Action Plan is issued following the demerger of Cadbury and Schweppes in Australia. After a long and fruitful partnership Cadbury and Schweppes are going their separate ways in 2009. This new action plan provides Cadbury with the opportunity to re-baseline the National Packaging Covenant KPIs based on Cadbury data, and reset our targets. The National Packaging covenant initiatives fit well within our Global Environmental Programme, called ‘Purple Goes Green’. Cadbury has a global target of 10% reduction in packaging as part of our Purple Goes Green commitments. This target has been publicly stated, and programmes to meet the target are subject to ongoing assessments to ensure they are on target. Cadbury has enjoyed significant benefits from a number of good results of initiatives designed to reduce packaging and it’s environmental impacts throughout the supply chain. We are proud of our achievements, including: • The average percentage of Post Consumer Recycled content in our packaging continues to increase, reflecting ongoing success in influencing our suppliers to provide recycled content materials. • ECoPP has been included in our product design review processes with the use of the “Packaging Impact Quick Evaluation Tool” (PIQET). PIQET was developed through the RMIT Centre for Design and funded by a small industry group. PIQET was commissioned as a web format in May 2008 and our Australia Packaging design...
