...SCHOOL OF URBAN & REGIONAL PLANNING SURP 841: Real Estate Decision Making Fall 2011 COURSE OUTLINE Instructor: Office: E-mail: Telephone: John S. Andrew, Ph.D., M CIP, RPP Robert Sutherland Hall, Room 525 john.andrew@queensu.ca 613-533-6000 ext. 75756 Session Time: Mondays, 11:30 am - 2:20 pm Session Room: Robert Sutherland Hall, Room 554 Overview of the Course The course is an introduction to the concepts, principles and analytical methods involved in making the broad variety of key investment decisions regarding commercial real estate. It is designed to supplement, rather than replace SURP 844: Real Estate Project Planning. Therefore, the emphasis of this course is on commercial real estate investment rather than development. However, some elements of the latter will inevitably be addressed. The focus will be on fullyoperational income-generating properties, primarily large in scale. The main asset types of office, industrial, retail and multi-unit residential will be discussed (and possibly a few more specialized types). Another emphasis of the course will be on the micro level – the evaluation of the investment merits of individual properties (or at least individual transactions). Less attention will be paid to the macro level i.e. portfolio management. To the extent possible, the course content (including readings, cases and assignments) will be Canadian (although it is recognized that real estate investment is increasingly a global endeavor). This is primarily...

One of the jobs I would like to obtain would be a family law paralegal. Family law paralegals typically work for private firms or government agencies that deal with domestic relationships, such as marriage, children, and parents. Family law encompasses such matters as prenuptial agreements, same sex domestic partnership, divorce, adoption, establishing paternity, child custody, child welfare and domestic violence. The second job title would be Real Estate paralegal. Real estate paralegals work alongside lawyers, helping with any preparation regarding property sales. Real estate paralegals are responsible for preparing documentation necessary to any case, including real estate purchases or sale closings. This may also include reviewing amendments, leases, subleases or purchase assignments. It is important for paralegals in this specialty area to be able to accurately work on items such as title insurance and tax bills. In addition to working with lawyers, real estate paralegals may also coordinate with landlords, housing managers or other real estate personnel. 2.List the skills needed for the job, taken both from the job description and your own analysis of the job. ...MGMT 530 Week 7 DQ 2 Estate Case Analysis To Buy This material Click below link http://www.uoptutors.com/mgmt-530/mgmt-530-week-7-dq-2-estate-case-analysis This week, we move from the theoretical to the real world. The following group decision problem scenario is outside of the formal organizational structure but highlights the difficulty in making decisions in group settings and the need to collectively arrive at a group decision-making process. Estate Case Decision Problem Scenario The matriarch of a family passes away after a long illness, leaving a house that needs major repair work, a few antiques, and a small insurance policy. In her Will, she bequeaths everything equally to her three grown children (two sons and a daughter), but leaves no instructions on how to go about the disbursement of the estate. The three children have drifted apart over the years and are not very close, but are cordial to one another. The eldest son, who lives locally, is named the executor of the Will. He is somewhat resentful that he served as the primary caregiver of the matriarch and the others were less involved. The other two don’t get along very well. The son that is the executor is not sure what to do, but would like to hang on to the house for a while until the real estate market improves and eventually try to sell it for more money than it is worth today. The daughter thinks that the house should be fixed up with the insurance money and then sold immediately. The other son thinks...
