As a mobile DJ the goals are to create a website that would demonstrate visitors the variety music used for specific events, the equipment that is utilized, and the pricing packages that are offered. The website’s goals are to gain awareness of the services and an increase to bookings.

Modify the way we advertise by building a website to promote our services. Word-of-mouth and social services have been used for advertising purposes, and we look forward to a website creating convenience, communication, and an increase in bookings.

Operational:
The owner supports this project because the website is a form of promotion, communication and convenience. The website will be available 24 hours and 7 days a week, it will be a user friendly navigating device, which will help the owner keep organize.
Technical
One computer is required to create the website and to keep the website up to date. This project passes the technical piece because DJ UpOne has a multi-media background, and owns multiple computers and devices where he can monitor his website. He is well knowledgeable in creating a website and managing it.
Economic:
This project would not cost a dime. We do not create a budgeting and expense plan, creating a website can be free. We have decided to create a free website, because we want to profit from the website first. Once the website starts to become popular, we will look into upgrading the website to keep our viewers and customers interested and happy.
Schedule:
An outline will be created for this website with a due date of May 29, 2014. There will not be any training needed, but guidelines will be placed. Such as visiting the website daily for any messages, updating the website every 6 months, and creating and maintaining a positive competition with other entertainment websites.

Project Scope
The main objective of this company is to increase customers, loyal customers and happy customers. Creating a sense of traffic and trend, with a unique vibe; creating an atmosphere where customers would choose us over the competition. What pays off is hard work and consistency. The website would actually remove some of the responsibility, creating an easier way of promoting the company.
Description of Current System
The current system used to promote and advertise the company DJ UpOne is social media and word of mouth. The social media pages used are Facebook, LinkedIn, and the new system Instagram. Another form the company uses to advertise is word of mouth. Word of mouth consists of the owner of the company giving out his business cards at events and parties. Asking retail stores, barber shops, salons, schools, party supply stores to please keep a display of his business cards. As well as when he creates relationships with people he also gives them his business card as a form of contact. References is a way of advertising, by delivering the best DJ service at occasions, events and parties people tend to hire services from references of friends and family members.
Social media pages are great visual presentations for the customers to view different occasions and events DJ UpOne can successfully perform in. It demonstrates the diversity in crowds, and video clips of the crowd enjoying his services. Word of mouth is used to create a larger awareness of his services, through references and endorsed past customers and reviewers. Social media and word of mouth do not just create awareness, but also demonstrates how strong your endorsements are and your references. For instance, how loyal and supporting your followers are, how consistent the company is with its delivery and its popularity. Also, staying up to date with trends, music, and how unique the company is.
Below is an image of DJUpOne’s social media page on Instagram. Demonstrating the owner’s description, different musical picture posts, the followers he has and the many people he is following. This presents that the followers have more than a 50/50 loyalty mentality towards the company, but it does not create a path for communication for contacting and booking purposes.

An Overview and Summary of the Proposed System
A website is created to represent the company. A website has an about page to state the mission statement, a calendar for open dates, pricing, equipment used, locations where services are offered, and depth contact information. A website creates a sense of reassurance for the customer, the company looks professional, official, and as if it really cares of how they look to their customers. A website is also a form to communicate directly with the customer, and gives the customer a trustworthy feeling they will be answered in a timely manner. We look forward to a website creating convenience, communication, and an increase in bookings.

Here is an example of how the layout of the website should look. The important top buttons are bio, schedule and contact. The Bio is the link to state the biography of this deejay, the reason for the biography is for the viewer to get a feel of where he comes from, and who he is, what does music and deejay-ing mean to him? These appeal as a connection, and sense of understanding, resulting in a positive outcome. The schedule is the link to show an event schedule of the deejay’s availability. The incentive of the event schedule is that at times customers may attend the event just to hear the deejay before booking them, or some customers follow where the deejay may perform at because they simply enjoy the music played and have a good time. The contact is the link to offer customers different options to communicate with the deejay, the options are e-mail, mail, and social media sites.
Personnel Needed:
The personnel needed to develop, install and maintain the new system is the owner and the website that will help create the free website. The website is called Big Cartel; it offers different plans from free monthly plans to their top monthly plans of $29.99. The plan we are choosing is the free plan which of course have limitations, as shown below.

The temporary chosen monthly plan is the gold one, which has limitations. The limitations are only one image is allowed per product, up to 5 products allowed, up to 10 iphone application orders, a basic customization design for the website, and basic statistics on how the company is performing. Fortunately, we do not worry about products or orders. Other limitations of the Gold website that are not listed in the above image, are the following items not allowed html documents, JavaScript files, limited memory storage, and an average speed for the website.

I created a proposed timetable for developing and installing the website with the duration of each task shown in minutes. The services of a referred short-time experienced photographer working only for recognition will be utilized for a photo shoot. Pictures taken while the deejay performs are not the only appealing pictures of a websites overall design and gallery. Professional pictures with a plain background are a unique touch to a website. Demonstrating confidence, and resulting in someone recognizing the deejay at places. This creates a referral mentality to customers, which works in our favor.
Events are normally scheduled starting Thursday night to sometimes Sunday nights, a few holidays during the year schedules the deejay to work some Mondays as well. An average availability schedule for DJ UpOne is Monday through Thursday (afternoon). To create and keep a happy work-life balance, three hours maximum will be allowed for new projects. A calendar for the month of May is shown above, with the highlighted days allowed to work on the website. Yellow are the 3 hours days given to work on the website, six days of 3 hours equal 18 hours. 18 hours will be more than enough time to complete the website before the due date of May 29. According to the time table shown above, 565 minutes are required to develop the website in a timely manner, resulting in approximately 10 hours. Given 18 hours, we have extra time to edit the website and ask for opinions from close family and friends, with enough completion time for the launch of the new website.
The financial information section
Installation and Operating Cost:
The installation and operating cost is a free cost. The website will be developed on a free website. The Gold plan chosen from the website developer, allows us to not spend a dime on installing or on operating the new system. We chose to this plan to first create a sense of traffic and comfort ability from the customer to visit our website, profiting from the website without spending money.
Developing and operating the new system will take a short 10 hours, without wasting time or taking time out away from the deejay’s work-life balance. Shown above is a schedule of 3 hours a day, from Monday through Wednesday, to develop the website, given 6 days to complete it. Also, a discussed plan to visit the website after it is complete, 2 hours a day from Monday through Wednesday, to keep the system up to date.
The Full Tangible and Intangible benefits:
The proposed system is not tangible. A website is more of a visual presentation that creates feeling. The presentation shows the appearance of the deejay, his biography, his work, his schedule, and contact information. The feeling of clicking on a website to view a possible entertainer you may choose for your event/occasion or you might want to go out to watch him in person gives the feeling of getting to know the deejay on another level; which are intangible benefits.
Summary
In conclusion the new system will absolutely work well with this company. Given the facts on how social media is already used, which has created an average traffic of customers, the new system will increase promotion, bookings, customers and followers. Developing a system with a temporary plan to start with a free website will benefit the company because there is no budget. Not using capital and instead using time available to create the new system will feel like a much bigger reward to the owner. The organized timetable and schedule will not create a time restraint. The launch for the website will be a success.
