In the novel The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath a college girl named Esther Greenwood goes off to college true pursue her dream of being a writer, but things take a turn. There are many complications in Esther’s life. She goes on a month long trip to New York working as a part time editor for a fashion magazine.
