...a Spanish accent - I think he's like Mexican or something. Anyway.... I can hardly understand him and he's got a ton of questions and I don't want to give him any wrong information. I just think you'd have a better chance at helping him out. Clara: Better chance? Is he asking about something that I specialize in? Steve: No, not exactly - but I figured since your entire family was from Brazil... Clara: First of all - in Brazil, Portuguese is spoken - not Spanish. Secondly, I studied French in school and don't know the first thing about Spanish. Steve: Well either way - you definitely know more about all that cultural stuff than I do... Clara: Cultural stuff? Steve: Whooaaaa....settle down. I didn't mean to offend you - I was only trying to help out our company! Boss: Excuse me. Clara and Steve. Can I see both of you in my office? Resolution: Ben/Boss: I couldn't help over hearing your conversation. If you have a minute, maybe I can help. Clara: No it's ok,... I'm sure we can work it out later. I really have to get back to work. Steve: It really wasn't a big deal....we're fine. Ben/Boss: Well, it is a big deal to me. Why don't you two have a seat and let me talk. I couldn't help overhearing .... that the two of you may be having a bit of a misunderstanding regarding what Steve might have said. Steve: Clara is blowing this way out of proportion, Ben. ...Alternative Dispute Resolution Felicia Greene LAW/531 April 4, 2016 Carol Parker Alternative Dispute Resolution In this paper we are asked to review a state level business dispute taken from either our own experience, the text or from personal research. I have chosen to discuss a case that is discussed in our text, Business Law 16th edition. The Case I will be discussing will be Hagan v. Coca-Cola Bottling Co. This case is about two sisters, Linda Hagan and Barbara Parker, who drank from a bottle of Coke which they both agreed tasted flat. After observing the bottle in the light both women observed what appeared to them to be a used condom with a “oozy sticky stuff coming out of the top” (Mallor, Barnes, Bowers, Lanvardy, 2014). After being sent to Coca-Cola for testing it was determined that the object was mold and not a used condom. Before the findings the medical personnel at the Coca-Cola facility told the ladies they should be tested for HIV. Those tests came back negative for both of the women. Hagan and Parker brought a negligence action again Coca-Cola and at the conclusion of the trial were awarded $75,000 each by the jury. However, the trial court reduced the jury award to $25, 000 a decision that both sides appealed. The appellate court revers the jury award and concluded that under case law concerning the impact rule, neither of the plaintiffs had proven a claim because neither had suffered a physical injury. ("Hagan V. Coca Cola Bottling Co", 2016)...

...THE AUTHOR? Franklin is a fascinating historical figure: a Founding Father and Renaissance Man (scientist, journalist, businessman, statesman), he was well-respected and enormously influential in his time; his writings, teachings, and discoveries deeply improved our lives. WHAT’S IT ABOUT? Franklin always carried a booklet with these 13 virtues. Each time he disobeyed a virtue, he’d mark it in his booklet. Since he focused on one virtue per week, he’d complete 4 cycles each year (13 virtues, 52 weeks). Here’s my (loose) interpretation of his virtues: 1. Temperance. Don't overeat or overdrink 2. Silence. Speak only when you have something good to say 3. Order. Organize your life; pay attention to ALL aspects of your work 4. Resolution. Always do what you say you'll do 5. Frugality. Spend little and spend wisely 6. Industry. Use your time wisely; stop doing wasteful things 7. Sincerity. Don't lie; be honest and fair 8. Justice. Don't harm others or ignore your obligations to them 9. Moderation. Avoid extremes; don't hold grudges 10. Cleanliness. Regularly clean your body, your clothes, and your home 11. Tranquillity. Don't get upset at small or unavoidable things 12. Chastity. Only have sex for health or babies, and never hurt others 13. Humility. Be super humble Here’s a version with Ben’s original wording. WHAT ARE THE IMPORTANT LESSONS? Lesson #1: Focus on one thing at a time Franklin spent each week focused on ONE of his 13 virtues, "leaving all others...

Media violence is the act of showing crimes, killings, fights, abuse etc. Media is now a day’s considered as one of the best source of education. It has power to create negative and positive effects on the mind of people. People rapidly adopt the stuff shown by it. The violence shown by media is becoming the cause of great aggression as people are unconsciously adopting it. Aim of this essay is to highlight the fact that violence shown in media is giving birth to aggressive culture .We will see that to what extend does the violence shown in media disrupts the behaviors .Why people find the use of bad behaviors as the only way for the solution of their problems. Basically we will see what impact it leaves on mind that leads to aggressive behavior. Why people become unable to distinguish between fantasy and real facts and result in threat for others. Exposing children and adolescents (or ‘youth’) to violent visual media increases the likelihood that they will engage in physical aggression against another person. By ‘physical aggression’ we mean behavior that is intended to harm another person physically...

...Product Liability (Music) [00:08] Whatever kind of equipment you buy, you expect it to work for the purpose intended. [00:12] By selling or leasing an editing system to Quick Takes Video, Non-Linear Pro is implying that the system can be used to edit video. [00:20] How well it performs is another question. [00:23] So… you know, Hal thinks that this Non-Linear editing system is going to cut the time on every project in half, [00:31] but since everything’s got to be digitized first, it, ah, may not save as much time as he thinks. [00:37] Yeah, but you know, everything’s going digital these days, so, you know, we may as well get started. [00:42] That’s true. [00:43] You know, besides, once the video’s digitized, it should make editing a lot more fun. [00:48] Oh, you know what? I ran into John from Video to Go at Barney’s the other night, and he said that they have, like, all the A-Line systems, and he loves it. [00:58] So I wonder why we didn’t use A-Line instead of Non-Linear Pro. That’s… [00:62] Well, you know Hal. [00:64] What? [00:65] This is probably much cheaper. [00:67] It’s true (laughs). [00:68] Yeah. [00:69] Ah, let’s just cut the, cut the lights, and ah… watch this tutorial, okay? [00:75] Oh, hold on, let me just make sure that the drive is in place. The manual’s really clear about this, okay? [00:79] Okay. [00:80] Let’s see if I can get this… OUCH! [00:82] Oh, what happened? ...For You Hi there. My name is Tucker Helgeson Thorn. I’m an average sized dude with a slightly above average sized penis. I personally think I’m funny looking, but to this one girl I am one handsome devil. Before this girl came along in to my life. I had what some would say self confidence issues. Drinking every weekend, not caring about the outcome of any situation, was how I was. I didn’t have sex a lot as a single man, and actually have only had sex about half a dozen times in the past year. I have this addiction to scary monsters and horror thriller films. But enough about that stuff. On new years eve of 2015 to 2016 my resolution was to slow down. Pay attention to my life and my career. A few days later this girl my best friend had just started talking to told me she had a girl for me. My first thought was really? What does that even mean? Curious I said “yeah tell her to hit me up”. That very night the most gorgeous woman I had ever seen, messaged me. I was stoked and it sounded like she was too. The first couple of days we were just talking, shooting the shit, getting to know each other. On January 7th, we made it official she was mine and I was hers. Talking everyday, falling madly in love with each other. From week one I knew this girl was the one. She is perfect everything about her just clicked with me. It wasn’t long before I told her I loved her. The most amazing feeling was when she said it back. My heart pounding in my chest fulfilled with ever lasting joy. With...
