I am writing this letter in response to Gary Small’s and Gigi Vorgan’s article, published in your magazine in 2008. In their article, Small and Vorgan discover the amazing evolution of the human brain triggered by today’s endless technological presence. They suggest that with its limitless wealth of news and information, the internet is changing the way young minds are evolving and functioning. I feel that the article creates a lot of good points, but it also leaves out few important information because not every person and child is married to technology in this world.
The authors say, “Today’s young people in their teens and 20s, who have been dubbed ‘digital natives’ have never known a world without computers, 24- hour TV news, internet”.
