In the black community we uses slogans and expression very often . My family really doesn’t use that many slogans because they try to set example for us. My friends and outside people that I sometime come in counter with uses a lot of slogans and expression there are two that came to mind 1.” Close mouth don’t get feed “ this slogan means that if you don’t speak out or tell the person how do they suppose to know .So therefore if you have something to say it because the other person will never know if you don’t. The second one is” loose lips sank ships “the slogan means that you talk too much and nobody can’t tell you anything without you are going back telling someone. These and several other expression and slogans are proper used with my friends it just say that we as a culture like to be different and disquiet sometimes so everyone doesn’t know who or what we be talking about.

In the African American culture there are plenty stereotyping going on. Its ridicules how ignorant and judgmental people can be just because of your race. I can agree that sometimes we as culture make it hard for people to look at us and not judge us but they have to realize that not everybody the same. I have encountered several stereotypes. Many

People when they first meet me put up the description that I think that I’m all that and that I’m stuck up but soon they starts to get to know me and then they realize o ok sure is a very humble nice kind hearted person. It’s very important to me that I don’t stereotype people and that I don’t make assumptions on anyone without getting to know that person first. This society today needs to work on not judge and stereotype and I think it will make a big difference in the world.
