...amateur-based rookie Andrews paces around the returning/debuting Alex Michaels, who keeps a wary eye on the younger superstar. After several seconds of pondering his first move, Adam lunges from behind with a waistlock, gripping his arms around the submissionist. Andrews tries to pull Michaels off of his feet with a German Suplex, but the veteran is wily enough to keep himself on solid ground, throwing back a few stiff elbows to help his cause. Andrews manages to catch one elbow in his temple, stumbling back a step, taking a spinning back elbow from The Climax, who sends him against the ropes. Michaels fires off a quick boot to the grappler's midsection, attempting an Irish whip to the opposite ring ropes, but Andrews manages to reverse it. As Alex comes back toward the rookie, Andrews grabs his arm, but Michaels reverses it into a hammerlock, applying pressure to the rookie's shoulder. Adam reaches back with a 3/4 facelock, looking to reverse the hold with his free arm, causing Michaels to act quickly and launch himself onto Andrews' back, releasing the hammerlock in favor of a rear naked choke! The amateurist starts to flail a bit, feeling the pressure against his windpipe... but as Andrews feels himself unable to pry the veteran's grip off of his throat, the rookie makes a desperate move, backing up against the turnbuckle, slamming Alex Michaels against the corner! As the young athlete comes back out of the corner, Andrews brings his opponent around in front of him, spinning about...

...Manual transmission vehicles have been around since the dawn of motor vehicles and are not going anywhere, therefor it would be in your best interest to learn how to properly operate one. Although operating a manual transmission or stick shift is thought to be an arduous task to perform by a vast majority of our population, it can be perfected by anybody through enough practice and dedication. To properly operate a manual transmission the same steps should be followed every time. Before getting started there are a few parts that you have to become familiar with that are not on an automatic transmission vehicle. The first part is a gear box that is usually located in between the two front seats of a vehicle. The gear box contains a stick shift...

...Nisa Chamblin Nar Avant Garde 2/23/2011 Movie Term Reflection Through chapters four, five, and six in our class book Film Art: An Introduction we learn the fundamentals of film; mise-en-scene, editing, and cinematography. Both mise-en-scene, editing, and cinematography deal with what is happening inside of the film frame, this includes the setting, costume, lighting, framing, photographic aspects, characters, editing, and cuts of the shot. Together these specific fundamental elements partake in the films that we watch providing dimension, mood, and style. The Big Combo is the epitome of film noir. Film noir’s visual style conceives a mood in a film with instability, double identities, and somewhat shifting values by using it’s techniques of darkness in shadows and night time scenes. In The Big Combo the main characters seem to have double identities “shadowed” upon them throughout the movie through silhouettes, shadows, and reflections, and not only do they have these double identities through mise-en-scene but also in the narrative. In the opening hospital sequence in The Big Combo, just as detective Diamond comes up the stairs and through the door we have a horizontal angle very slightly looking up (a low angle) into the hallway. As detective Diamond steps into the door past the officer the camera angle stays the same, both Mr. Diamond and the standing officer are in medium long shot. With the medium long shot we are able to make out the two nurses and reception desk...

...use some of Java’s graphics capabilities for drawing shapes in a display area. The programming assignment for this week is to implement a simple paddle ball game. Paddle Ball Game Overview The paddle ball game is a simplification of the Pong game. In the Pong game, a ball is moving around the display, bouncing off walls. The player moves a paddle in one dimension, trying to hit the ball whenever possible. If the ball hits the paddle, it bounces off and continues on its way. If the paddle misses the ball, the ball goes off the end of the display area and the player loses a point. In our paddle ball game, the ball moves around the display, bouncing off walls just as in the Pong game. The player controls a paddle trying to hit the ball just like in the Pong game. If the ball hits the paddle, it bounces off and continues on its way. The main difference in our game is that if the player misses the ball, the ball simply bounces off the wall behind the paddle and continues to travel. There is no scoring in this game. Object Oriented Design If we analyze the game description we can see there are several different objects which are interacting. There is a ball object which is traveling around the display. There is a paddle object which is being moved by the player. There is a display which is presenting the graphical representation of the game to the user. These objects are readily apparent from the description of the game. The ball object has a size and a position within the...

...In Hitchcock’s film, Vertigo, The story revolves around the main character, Scottie who is the detective in the film that has a fear of heights known as acrophobia and his relationships with Madeleine, who is the wife of Scottie’s class mate Gavin Elster, and Midge, Scottie’s old college friend. Hitchcock uses camera work such as profile shots of Madeleine and full shots of Midge to emphasize on the fact that even though one is secretive, she dictates the main character while the other is like an open book, yet she has no genuine power over him. Madeleine is beautiful and a glamorous woman who comes from a wealthy background. Scottie becomes attracted to her in the very first scene at Ernie’s restaurant. He watches her as she sits and walks out elegantly, while he is sitting in one corner. Hitchcock captures the scene with by taking a tracking shot of the restaurant to give the viewers the feeling of the romantic ambience. The tracking shot zooms out of Scottie to the other side of the room on Madeleine, whose back is facing the camera. This suggests that Hitchcock wants to continue with the theme of suspense throughout the movie, which is why he first takes shots of Madeleine’s back to the camera, followed by the profile shot from a distance. The profile shot is marked by a wooden doorway that frames Madeleine as if she is in the spot light, which she is for Scottie. The camera then zooms in for a close up shot of Madeleine’s profile. The sharp feature of the profile shot highlights...

...Mouse has most horsepower in the game so technically Mouse is stronk-est tenk in the game. This means Mouse can push any tank sideways or backwards anywhere it wants to. Get creative with this- push enemies off the fort at Castilla, push them into the line of fire of teammates and spam "help", push them into a wall and hold them there, or even better push them into a corner and hold them there (if Mouse dies they will be stuck there the rest of the battle! Unless it is another Mouse). Or push a friendly T95 at mock-17. Anyway, engine boost will enable Mouse to do it harder and...

...Seth Godin wears those brightly colored but mismatched socks. Steve Jobs’ work uniform was a black turtleneck and jeans. Look around and you can see the obvious differences in a lot of successful people. What most business owners don’t see when they look at successful people are the habits they’ve developed. Leonard DaVinci slept two hours at a time in four-hour intervals. Charles Dickens would only write and sleep facing north. Some of their weirdness was superstition, but a lot of it wasn’t. Here are six weird habits of successful people. 1.They think backward. Successful people start at the finish. Most of us have been taught to take one step, then the next, and the next until we arrive at our destination or goal. But successful people, like rocket scientists, actually clearly define the outcome they want first, and then reverse engineer the steps they need to take to get there. 2. They like to repeat themselves, a lot. They repeat themselves a lot. If you’re pre-vinyl and never heard a broken record, think “repeat” or “loop.” Successful people don’t stop when they have a success. When they succeed, they try to figure out ways to repeat that success. 3. They cut corners. Once successful people figure out how to repeat success, then they figure out how to get the same result faster, easier and cheaper. There’s a fine line between cutting corners and cutting quality, though. Make sure you recognize the difference. 4. They are quitters. You know the saying “Winners never...

...TIG welding is cleanest and most precise welding procedure available. The operator can change parameter during welding without stop of weld and also complete control on welding variable. 7. Possible welding in all position. 8. Distortion is low. 1.8 Limitation of (TAGS) Welding 1. The deposition rate is lower. 2. In case of thick section it is costly. 3. Process is slow compare to MIG. 1.9 TIG Welding Application The TIG welding process is best suited for metal plate of thickness around 5- 6 mm. Thicker material plate can also be welded by TIG using multi passes which results in high heat inputs, and leading to distortion and reduction in mechanical properties of the base metal. In TIG welding high quality welds can be achieved due to high degree of control in heat input and filler additions separately. TIG welding can be performed in all positions and the process is useful for tube and pipe joint. The TIG welding process is extensively used in the so-called high-tech industry applications such as 1) Nuclear industry 2) Aircraft 3) Food processing industry 4) Maintenance and repair work 5) Precision manufacturing industry 6) Automobile industry 7) Welding of transistor casing, expansion blows and instrument diaphragm. 8)...

...Preventing these can be a challenge, especially since technology updates daily and hackers are lurking around every corner just waiting to pounce. In this ever challenging and changing world as business owners we also must be on our toes, keeping our assets safe and computer information protected. Denial of Service Attack Also referred to as a “DoS” are some of the most feared attacked in the cyber world. This type of attack is hard to defend against and even more costly to recover from in many cases. The only one to benefit is the thief who can make away with thousands or even millions of dollars from your business. Any deliberate effort to cut off your web site business from its intended users or customers qualifies as a DoS attack. Here’s the thing, usually the objective of a DoS attack is not to steal money or expose confidential data. Most of the time these attacks do not breech a network, they just sort of overwhelm it, with tons of traffic. In the past some interesting hacker groups have used this method to “get a point across” if you will, groups like Anonymous and hacktivists. They have used DoS as a means to protest against groups like the government and big corporate companies. Protection against DoS Honestly it is very hard to defend against these types of attacks. Usually the attack has already begun and the company is left to scramble around trying to stop the attack, which usually requires coordination with the ISP for network access. The...

...Marketing”, 2013). Additionally, as revenues skyrocketed, Starbucks began offering their product at retail outlets. This enables any consumer to experience their product without even having to visit a local Starbucks coffee shop. This has proven to be a very successful venture for the company. Fiscal year 2011, boosted over 11 billion dollars in revenue for the coffee giant. None of this would have been possible without a successful marketing mix (“Starbucks”, 2012). Marketing mix The actual term marketing mix was first used back in 1940’s, but gained momentum in 1964. That year, Neil H. Borden published an article entitled The Concept of Marketing Mix that detailed the actual concepts of a marketing mix strategy. His initial idea contained around thirteen different elements, however, years later E. Jerome McCarthy broke down those elements into just four distinct areas known as the Four P’s of Marketing: product, price, place, and promotion (“The”, 2010). Despite these elements entailing both internal and external factors, Starbucks has continued to use these elements successfully. Product What is a product defined as? A product is a good or...

...“How to Start Up” It’s finally a Saturday. You sleep in till about nine, which you consider to be really sleeping in since you wake up at five every morning. You get out of bed, walk over to turn off the fan you had blowing on you all night. You look in the mirror leaning against your white walls and realize you need to shower. So what if the guy you were with for five years broke up with you. You still know how to live, even if you still cry yourself to sleep every other night. You could show that today though. You need to show them that you don’t need him and that you are still taking care of yourself, at least that’s what they need to think. You walk over and open up the door of your bedroom. You look down the hallway and all the other doors are closed. While walking down the hall, you can feel the carpet underneath your toes. The bathroom is straight across from the bedroom but you have to walk past all the other empty rooms. You open the door and head straight to the window. You open up the window, letting the cool spring air fill the room. You turn towards the shower and turn on the water, pulling up the tab to turn on the showerhead. It spits water at first but after a few moments it has a constant...
