To begin with, Nagaina was ferocious when she found out her husband had died because of Rikki Tikki (para 76-78). This shows that when Nagaina found out her husband was dead she was angry and fierce about what had happened and wanted to get back at Rikki Tikki. Nagaina’s character trait is different from Rikki tikki’s because curious has nothing to do with being ferocious. It proves the thesis because she was the one that caused some of Rikki Tikki’s pain. Furthermore, Nagaina is also ferocious when she is taunted by Rikki tikki to fight but is left with 2 choices (para 86-92). In one case, Rikki Tikki shows personification when he wants to fight (para 86). This means that the evidence I provided was an example of personification because usually animals like these just want to fight, but Rikki Tikki told and did something that made Nagaina want to fight him. The personification proves the theme because the author of the story is trying to give the theme/moral of the story by messaging it through talking animals. Secondly, another piece of evidence for personification was when Darzee the bird was singing about Nagaina’s death (para 61-63). The illustrates, that the evidence is an example of personification because birds can not sing words.
