...“‘O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo’” (II.ii.32) he is dead. Well, he will be with some others. If Benvolio had never tried to get Romeo over Roseline then Romeo and Juliet would never have meet, therefore, never would fall in love, married, and killed themselves. When you try to get someone over a love with a new love you need to think about it because love should never be forced to change. Benvolio influenced Romeo to go to the Capulet’s party and that is where Romeo and Juliet met. “‘Tut, you saw her fair, none else being by,/ Herself poised with herself in either eye/ But in that crystal scales let there be weighed/ Your lady’s love against some other maid/ That I will show you shining at this feast,/ And she shall scant show...

After thinking long and hard about, Romeo decides to talk to Benvolio about what just happened so together they can make a plan on what to do next. After talking for 30+ minutes about what Tybalt’s consequence should be, they finally figured out a solution. They will let the Prince do the sacrificing of Tybalt. Romeo asks, “We agree? The Prince will kill Tybalt for his actions?” and Benvolio responds, ¨Yes, my friend. Wait! I can hear something coming in the woods.” Romeo’s confused look leads to a slow response. “What do you mean, you hear something?” Romeo asked. Before Benvolio could clarify someone pops out of the woods. “Tybalt?” Benvolio and Romeo ask at the same time....

...Have you ever read Romeo and Juliet? In my English class we read the story of Romeo and Juliet. The book is fiction and is a romantic/tragedy story. I enjoyed the story a lot because it kept surprising me, which kept it interesting. I feel Romeo and Juliet is a significant book because every character moved the story along, the point of view showed how everyone felt and the theme is a classic by William Shakespeare. First of all the characters affected the story in big ways. In every act there was new characters and old characters were even different because new things were happening and it changed how they felt. Romeo is a kind, loving boy who likes to be alone, such as “But he, his own affections’ counselor, is to himself-I will not say...

...blamed someone else for something you did? Well in the play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare after killing another character, young Romeo Montague says, “O! I am fortune’s fool!” (act 3, scene 1), and by saying this, he is blaming “fate”, and saying this murder was destined to occur. The character who was killed also happens to be the cousin of Juliet, who Romeo is secretly married to. By Romeo stating “O I am fortune’s fool”, he is not taking responsibility for what he did, as Romeo thinks fate is against him because he had just gotten married to the woman he loves, but he may be put to death for killing her cousin. Although he should take partial blame for what happened to Tybalt, I do believe that Romeo and Juliet were doomed by fate from the start, and there are many examples of that throughout this tragedy....

...The Development of Juliet's Character Throughout William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet Juliet is first introduced to us in Act 1 Scene 3, where we learn about Juliet’s character. We know she is a polite, obedient girl. We can see this in the line where she says: “Madam, I am here. What is your will?” (Act 1 Scene 3 L78). This shows that Juliet is a well-mannered girl because she addresses her mother as Madam. This quotation also shows Juliet as obedient and always willing to help her mother because she says: “What is your will?” This scene also tells us that Juliet is thirteen and has never considered marriage, something which would have been common for girls her age at that time. She is still pure and innocent. “It is an honour I dream not of.” (Act 1 Scene 3 L66). From this scene we can observe that Juliet has a closer relationship with the nurse rather than with her own mother. “Faith, I can tell her age unto an hour.” This example shows how well the nurse knows Juliet. Shakespeare shows us that Juliet is still of the age where she does what her mother asks of her, without question. In the same scene again she says “Well, think of marriage now.” Which also shows us that Juliet does what her mother says. In Act 1 Scene 5 the first conversation between Romeo and Juliet is in the form of a sonnet (poem of sixteen lines). Romeo and Juliet take it in turns to speak; which shows how perfect they are for each other. A good example: If I profane with...

...The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is a play directed by “fate”, according to the characters. Although the events of the play are definitely conducted by the characters influencing them, one being Juliet. Juliet’s defiance to her parents, reliance on other people, and her terrible plan to reunite with Romeo set the stage for the calamity to occur. The main dilemma in the play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is that Romeo and Juliet are “secretly” married. It is “secret” because Juliet’s brilliant mind believes it’s a good idea to tell her parents they’re married about half way through the play. “I will not marry yet; and when I do, I swear it shall be Romeo…” (Shakespeare, Act III, Scene V). The point of having a secret marriage is to keep it a secret, but this does not translate to Juliet. This did not directly kill anyone, but it was still a idiotic decision since it raised the tension for Juliet to marry Paris....

...In Romeo and Juliet, two teenagers, Romeo and Juliet, briskly fall in love with one another and struggle to cope with a multitude of issues that plague their ideal life. Nevertheless, there are numerous incidences in which Romeo and Juliet could have prevented their own deaths, so, therefore, they could have continued to live their lives together. The first major stride towards the death of Romeo and Juliet was when Romeo murdered Tybalt due to him allowing his rage to take over, rather than contemplating the repercussions of his actions. After Romeo kills Tybalt, he is exiled to Mantua, which he despises...

...If life was the inconstant moon, then Tybalt was the diabolic tide, so easily lead and guided by the seductive lunar pull. Many may too be mourning the passing of Mercutio, first cousin to Romeo, dear son to Lord Montague. Both he and Tybalt possessed blood-stained hands at the time of their passing, dirty with the broken, wretched spirits of others. But while Mercutio dipped and trailed his fingers through the pale veils of death, Tybalt thrust and plunged his hands into the bloody shadows of darkness. And yet, both of them are now cleansed, having perished in such a mutual dignity. I cannot say Tybalt meant no harm through his actions, only that he died a child who laughed at the...

...of the deaths in the play Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare? To narrow it down to just one person, you would have to look at the big picture. Who brought Romeo and Juliet together and united them? Friar Lawrence is the culprit. Friar Lawrence is most responsible for their deaths, because he married the two star crossed lovers. He kept their union a secret, and tried to cover up his mistake by giving Juliet a sleeping potion . Friar Lawrence was “mixing oil and water” when he married Romeo and Juliet. The two teen lovers came from families that had been feuding with each other for generations and generations. Friar Lawrence knew that these families had grudges towards each other, therefore he was aware that he was potentially creating problems by marrying the two star crossed lovers. The Friar's original plan was to bring the two feuding families together. Yet he did not let the families in on the union. By not telling either family, he just kept Romeo and Juliet's love a secret. The Friar should have told the two young lovers to get consent from their parents or refuse to marry them at all....
