To show the impact that two of my meals have on our world from an ecological and economic perspective, I chose to research the breakfast and dinner I ate yesterday. Yesterday for breakfast I had two hard boiled eggs, two slices of wheat toast and a glass of orange juice. For dinner I had baked chicken, a roll, and a bottled Sam’s Choice water. The origins of the hard boiled eggs were Jackson, MS, the orange juice that I drank was from Atlanta, GA, the chicken I had was from Pittsburgh, TX, the wheat toast I had was made in Chicago, IL, and the Sams Choice water was from St. Louis, MO. All of these products were purchased from Wal- Mart super center in my hometown. The chain of events that took the product to get form the farm to my table will be explained.

From these two attributes, the sugar determines the flavor of the juice. The juice next goes through a finisher where the pulp and seeds are removed. From this point, the juice will go directly into a pasteurizer. Filtered water is added to bring the brix down to about 119 degrees, the average of fresh squeezed juice. It is then put up into cardboard cartons, glass, or plastic jugs to
